Bleh. If Torres gets injured so be it. Crouch and Kuyt did just fine as a partnership last season (13 wins in 16 games they started as a duo) so given a run together I'm sure they'd do the job.

As we have seen relying on Torres/Gerrard is not the way. We need everyone to man up and show pride in their shirt and fight for the club. We will only succeed if we get back to the high tempo harrying game which has allowed us to control games in past seasons.
I think that the people we have added to the squad in Torres, Benayoun and Babel will allow us to improve as a team if we can set the same standard of foundations we have in previous seasons. They are more consistent and in Torres' case simply much better than what we used to have."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Babel offers some hope, however, and could deputise in the event of a Torres injury, but yeah…we need him desperately.
Almost as desperate is the need to add another top striker to the squad.
Surely no one can be doing any slaughtering when thats probably the most factual comment made on this forum since i've been on here.
Obviously your in agreeance Shaggy- if Torres gets injured for any pro-longed amount of time between now and may we won't finish top 8 never mind top 4.
With the Skipper seemingly with his extremely large head shoved up his arse, Carra suffering a dip in form I haven't seen since the Carragher dark ages of the late 90's and EVERYBODY else lacking either confidence, ability or in a lot of cases both Torres (and maybe Babel) offers us our only ray of light!
