AN Open Letter from Momo Sissoko

    Momo Sissoko 01 February 2008

After completing his move from Liverpool to Juventus Momo Sissoko has taken time out to send this heart-felt message to Reds fans all over the world.
    Dear Liverpool fans,

As soon as I arrived in Liverpool I realised how much this team meant.

Now, after two and a half years I have to say goodbye and I can't hide the great sorrow I feel in leaving one of the best clubs in Europe.

Liverpool FC as a club, its fans, its coaches and my team-mates have together helped me to become a better player and, above all, a better person.

Liverpool FC is one of the greatest. The Liverpool fans never desert their team.

Even in the worst moments you have a strong sense that the fans are with you, supporting you as much as they can, never giving up, those fans make Liverpool even stronger. I really want to thank them for helping me to feel and to understand what football means in its purest form.

I also think Liverpool FC functions this way because of its leaders; Rafael Benitez works from dawn to dusk, and the players know they must fight for the red shirt in every second of every match.

Now I am beginning a new adventure in another big European Club in Juventus. They have also now put their faith in me.

I shall play to my best in every single match, I shall fight hard for my new shirt to the end, but when every match is finished, I know what I'll do first - I shall ask about the results of Liverpool FC.

Everybody knows the legend "You'll Never Walk Alone" and I shall never ever forget the experience and the team.

I want to thank everyone for the opportunity and wish everyone all the best for the future.

    With my best regards,
    Mohammed Sissoko

Little Luis did a similar thing when he went. Good luck to the lad, hope he has a stinker though if we ever come up against Juve.

Ahh bless him, and nice words about Rafa as well. Lil Luis started a trend then.

                  Best Of Luck Momo,

Shame things didn't work out with this lad, but the time had come where he had to go as he could no longer compete in our midfield.

Best of luck in Italy for the lad, still feel he is a top player in the making.

                    Well Done Momo.
Il never forget that Barca performance.
Sad to see him go. Was frustrating at times due to his distribution but you always felt if he could improve it he would be close to world class. i hope he has a great career.

Funny - do "we" really believe that Luis and Momo actually sat down and wrote these "open letters" or am I being cynical?

                          Nice Gesture from Momo

I wish him all the best for the future, except if he comes up aginst us of course.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

****ing quality player for two years here!

All's I can say to you Momo lad is thank you (and i mean that from the very bottom of my heart) so ****ing much for Barcelona away. There were loads of performances which were awesome, Cardiff 2006 to mention another but Barcelona away. . . that was simply brilliant. I came away thinking that he was the best midfielder on the planet that night. he won us the game cause of that performance.

Like Igor in some respects- a figure of ridicule but this time, unlike igor not deserved. As for the the not passing to a red shirt thing Momo lad- it never bothered me and certainly wouldn't, not now as it seems the rest of that joke of a squad can't pass to a red ****ing shirt either but alas- the gerrard can do no wrong brigade, I should imagine will pipe up and and find excuses for the captains disgraceful performances of late- not for you though!

All the Best Momo, thank you so very much for Barcelona and Cardiff in particular and the one thing that makes you stand out from EVERY other member of the squad at the moment-the ability and enthusiasm and the drive to NOT STOP running and caring even if your personal performance on the day hasn't been great!

Good luck Mo, you deserve it!
Manchester. . . WANK WANK WANK

"The match day experience between now and 25 years ago is worlds apart and deeply anaesthetised, with a large dollop of blatant "**** you" cynicism thrown at us for good measure."- Alunevans

This is another one of those things that makes Liverpool FC different.
