Thanjk you.
Paul.S
By thinking he was acting to his team's best interests, he undermined it and his fellow players. If he really wanted to do his best, he should have swallowed his pride and his personal beliefs and got along with the job of helping the team in this particular world cup.
He could have waited to solve his disagreements. That's what being a professional is about. Get along with the job and wait for an opportunity to raise some issues when the time is right.
Exactly.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
a mate of mine was in the roi squad at the time and was over at the wc and let me tell you, keane is a orrible cunt who thinks the world revolves around him. He was bang out of order over at the world cup.......some of the stuff said to mick mccarthy and bits that i dont think got reported were nothing more than ramblings of a petulant littlle manc****!
Yes he was a great player but he was playing for the best team at the time. I would have loved to have seen him in a struggling side, that would have give him something to moan about. As for most influential, I think that Cantona beats him on that one.
As a side note, why the hell is he getting an easy ride as a manager from the media? He has spent an absolute fortune this season and hardly anybody has said anything about it. He did really well last season but he has bought some ****e this year and its gone unnoticed.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!
I admire his passion for winning and some of his immense performances in the EPL but that's about it. He was a ****, is a **** and always will be a ****.
**** it im in what a cunt and a disgrace to the country :bird:
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
Can't believe people still peddle this walking out bolloxs. He was set up at that meeting and he knew it so he let McCarthy have it both barrels. He didn't walk as most people seem to believe he was sent home. This is not opinion its fact as McCarthy himself confirmed in the PC afterwards. He voiced an opinion in the press about the poor state of somethings which as captain he was right to do but shouldn't have done so in the press.Calling McCarthy a cunt was perfectly acceptable(I'd have chinned him) in my book after McCarthy had accused him of feigning injury to get out the Iran game, another point that never gets mentioned when looking at the whole saipan bollox.Mick knew what he was at provoking him and he got the desired result which gave him the
excuse to ship him off.Only for him we'd have got alot further in that WC.Engineering Keanes departure, failing to spot Spain only had ten men, tactical inepitude etc.As manager it was his job to keep the peace, organise properly and keep his best players pulling for the green
As for Haaland he admitted trying to injury him,but not to trying to end his career. It was wrong what he did but Haaland, lets not forget had done the same to him previously.
He's a traitior who walked out on his country when they needed him most. A pathetic and egotistical act I'll never forgive him for.
He also tried to end another professional's career. I will never be able to respect him because of that.
Most infuential player in the Premiership? Possibly, I might argue Henry for the sake of it, but Keane was certainly emmense for the scum for years.
Can't stand him. A total egocentric, full of himself 'tug'. But what a player. I had masses of very grudging respect for him.
I've got to be honest and say I'll never forget his performance in the away leg against Juventus when they came from 2-0 down. I was pissing myself at 2-0 Juve and, although I was truly sickened they came back, I had to hold my hands up and say 'wow'.
One of the best midfield performances I've ever seen. I hate them with a passion and I hated him, but I'm a football fan as well as a Red and that was, gulps, magnificent.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
