The point I was making is that if one of their top strikers gets injured they've got others to come in. As for Kalou not being on form...you clearly haven't been watching the African Nation's Cup.

We've had 70 million quid + to spend this season and we've only brought one forward in, Voronin who cost nothing.

I know what you mean Shaggy but it's a complete and utter joke that we started the season with a strike force of Torres, Kuyt, Crouch and Voronin. Crouch is a good player but Rafa doesn't rate him which leaves us with 2 very average forwards.

If Tevez get injured they still have Rooney, Ronaldo and Saha. If Anelka gets injured they still have Drogba, Kalou, Pizarro and Shevcheko (actually he's pretty crap) etc. The problem isn't International duty but it's more to do with our obvious lack of quality strength in depth.

It really is a shambles.

Absolutely, but there are a lot of questions Rafa needs to answer. I love Rafa and have defended him to the hilt on here but my faith in him is being severely tested at present. if we don't get a top 4 place then surely he has to go?
