Did Ronaldo get injured? Tevez? Anelka? ****s sake. What a horrible, depressing and WANK season.

I know what you mean Shaggy but it's a complete and utter joke that we started the season with a strike force of Torres, Kuyt, Crouch and Voronin. Crouch is a good player but Rafa doesn't rate him which leaves us with 2 very average forwards.

If Tevez get injured they still have Rooney, Ronaldo and Saha. If Anelka gets injured they still have Drogba, Kalou, Pizarro and Shevcheko (actually he's pretty crap) etc. The problem isn't International duty but it's more to do with our obvious lack of quality strength in depth.

    It really is a shambles.

They replace Terry with Alex, Lampard with Ballack, Essien with Makelele and Drogba with Anelka.

      Makes no difference to them.
It's quite depressing when you look at who we bring in when key players are missing compared to that
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's what you got when you spend £300m+ on players in only a few years time.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

          We'll have to go for a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 formation

          Pepe

          Finnan
          Carra
          Skrtel
          JAR/Arbeloa (if fit)

          Masch
          Gerrard
          Alonso/Lucas

          Babel
          Benayoun

          Crouch

With Masch sitting deep allowing Gerrard and Lucas/Alonso to get forward. Babel and Benayoun playing wide but getting up to support Crouch whenever possible. Obviously Rafa wont do anything like this and Kuyt will start....maybe he could give Finnan a challenge at right back?!

And they're still only a few points off the top.

I'm actually very surprised at how well they've coped, especially as everyone was banking on them imploding during the African Nations Cup.

I mentioned this before. They'll virtually have a reserve side against us on Sunday. No Terry, Drogba,Mikel, Kalou, Essien and Fat Frank isn't fully fit.

Striker Fernando Torres has been ruled out of Liverpool's Premier League game against Chelsea on Sunday.

Torres had been hopeful of recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in Spain's 1-0 win over France in a friendly on Wednesday.

But Reds boss Rafa Benitez says the 23-year-old is unlikely to feature.

"I need to talk to the doctor but I think he will miss this game," said Benitez. "Normally it is a week when a player goes off like this."

Damn right they have, footie is a funny old game, a game of 2 halves you could say, tee hee, it'll be when the Chavs get their players back from African Nat Cup that they will implode, or drop points, sounds crazy i know but funny how things go.

Rafa Benitez has confirmed Liverpool fans' worst fears by revealing Fernando Torres is very unlikely to feature against Chelsea on Sunday.

The striker lasted just 23 minutes of Spain's 1-0 victory over France on Wednesday after picking up a hamstring injury.

The news comes as a major blow for Benitez, who is already without Daniel Agger, Andriy Voronin, Alvaro Arbeloa, Fabio Aurelio and the suspended Xabi Alonso.

On top of this, Javier Mascherano will not arrive back at Melwood until Friday due to Argentina's friendly clash with Guatemala later today.

Benitez said: "We have lost Torres and Mascherano is not back until tomorrow. I don't think it (the international friendly situation) is fair. I think Mascherano will be okay for Sunday but we will have to see.

"The news we have on Torres is that it is a hamstring injury. I need to talk to the doctor but I think he will miss this game. Normally it is a week when a player goes off like this.

"It is a big problem for us."
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Finnan is a better left back than our current so called options. Another problem is of course that Mascherano played the full 90 minutes against Guatemala and will be tired after that game plus the long trip back.

Throw in all the turmoil of Mourinho getting booted out and you have to say that they've done really well to still be in with a shout.

Kalou, Pizzaro, Sheva, ? Hardly a top strike force in form. But the point is they have'nt got injured. They could afford to buy Anelka just for the hell of it, I'm sure with similar funding we'd have better players too.

We've beat this shower of cunts before without torres and we can do it again, plus we're not the only ones with important players missing at the moment

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
