Cheyrou was much more of a talent than kuyt, he had a good eye for a pass and read the game well, he suffered from a lack of confidence. if Cheyrou had kuyt drive and passion he'd probably still be here...

thats life. its not only our players that get injured. most folk would love to play for their country. I think the fact that so many english people feel so little for their national team is reflective of the way people feel about the country as a whole. its time to get some pride back and stop all these outside influences ruining our country. for too long we sit back and let things happen, bitching under our breath but doing nothing. What people seem to forget is that we didn't have Torres last season, yet we still managed to score goals and win games and finish 3rd. And because this season Torres has played almost every game as our main striker, the others have been playing under his shadow, as he was the pinnacle of all our attacks. Now that Kuyt and Crouch have the goalscoring onus on them, they will be freed a bit more than when they are simply playing as a foil for Torres.

I strongly believe we'll turn it on against Chelsea, and that at least one of Kuyt or Crouch will step up
