Overseas Reds - How do you feel about overseas league football?

There's a fair few of you on here that don't reside in the UK, which must mean getting to games is either pretty difficult, or just impossible.

Would you value the chance to see Liverpool play a competitive game in your vicinity?

Would any of you boycott the game out of principle?

There's been a lot opposition to the idea of playing league games outside the UK, so as the ones who could stand to benefit, what would you do?

Sorry for starting a new thread on this - I wanted a poll of our overseas chums to guage opinion.

Bollocks idea - I live in Oz, but no way would I want the reds coming here or anywhere that meant a long trip for a league game just so Sky and the Premier League can rake in more cash - it's a ****e idea and we the fans need to stop it!

I live in Merseyside but I cannot see how its going to work

Its an extra competetive match with the normal points scoriing being added to your points total

My understanding is that various countries/cities bid for each game ......OK fine................who is going to bid on Birmingham versus Fulham then?

you can also guarantee that our extra game will be one of scum/Arse/Chavs or Blue****e, every year

I like the idea but cant see how it could possibly work..........the season is congested enough as it is
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

personally, since I live in the US, I'd love to see it.

I have no doubt that a league match would easily pull in a crowd of 80,000 plus here.

Disgusting idea and just another example of greedy chairmen taking the game away from the fans who follow teams week in and week out.

A truely vulgar idea that does nothing but ruin the integrity of the competition and waters the league down as a whole.

Another case of real fans being alienated and just another nail in the coffin of football.

If they came to Spain it would likely be Madrid or Barcelona, one of which is 4 hours by car and the other further.

I just need to earn more cash so I can fly over to Liverpool. It'll be quicker and the atmosphere would be worth 10,000 games in Madrid v Pompey or whoever.

I would happily go to Madrid to watch us thrash them in the CL though.

I think its a great idea and I would sell my Gran to get a ticket to see the Reds in a competitve EPL game-its a dream come true for some people for that to happen.

Come over here and watch the team where it's supposed to play then. And in a proper EPL match, not some watered down ****e to cater for the foreign market.

I have to say that I hate the idea. I made my first trip to Anfield last spring and having been there once, I can't ever imagine being satisfied with seeing them play in some soulless American stadium. I mean, would people even know how to sing YNWA? It would just be far too depressing for words.

I've nothing against anyone overseas supporting the Reds but that doesn't mean a game should be played abroad.

I don't like it but if it happened and Liverpool were in Australia, if I am honest I would probably make every effort to go.

Promise to start a "Liverpool Football Club is in the wrong hands" chant though if those pricks are still around. God forbid.

terrible idea to play a league game abroad imo, even though liverpool would never come and play in iceland do to our small market, i think it's a terrible idea. a game just for at the end of the season might be ok, or the charity shield but never a league game. liverpools home is at anfield an nowhere else...
