Chelsea fans are so ****ing obsessed with us. Go to the Liverpool Newsnow page now, its all ****ing Chelsea sites! They are even writing down the words to songs they can sing at us!
Can't see anything but a defeat sorry. We'll play decently enough, and probably be the better side for most of the first half, but they'll score with their first meaningful attack.
Having said that, at 3.59pm on Sunday I'll be convinced we're going to win.
So, in conclusion: Draw.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

Im convinced we will lose on Sunday, and will be just as convinced at 3.59pm on Sunday when I have seen the team sheets

Apologies for the mini thread hijack but....
Anyone recommend a decent pub in Manchester to watch this game. Somewhere without too much agro. Im worried Manchester is going to be one huge fightzone by 4pm Sunday as the Manchester derby is on before our match.
Somewhere quiet? Anyone got any ideas?

You spoiled it now, Marky. I was looking forward to that game.Originally posted by Marky View PostWe'll get beat two nil.
We'll start off alright, keep it tight, maybe create one or two chances, think we're in with a shout of nicking something, Kuyt will probably miss from 6 yards, then Ballack, Cole or someone will score via a deflection just before half-time.
Second half will start off an even affair, then we'll gradually work our way back into the game, bring on a few subs and create some chances, of course we miss these chances.
Then as we pile players forward late on looking for the equaliser, Chelsea hit us on the break - 2-0 GAME OVER. The Reds go down to another defeat at the Bridge.
YNWAI'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Attack them with what exactly? We will have a very slow attack so we can't really attack them that much.Originally posted by paulcooper4 View PostGo for the cunt`s throats and pay them no respect. Go in hard on the keeper. They will **** themselves if we attack them from the first whistle.
We can **** them all over the shop, wether we do is another matter, I believe we will.
They will take out Gerrard from the game and then our attacking threat is over. I want to be optimistic but Gerrard is right now our only real goal threat with Torres out.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Babel shows promise of threatening defences. Maybe he can if he starts

The problem is that Crouch will have to create his own space now. Chelsea will play with a very high defensive line and take out our slow attack.Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostCrouch is more of a threat than Kuyt

They can afford to give Crouch or Kuyt a couple of yards and still take them out.
Gerrard is the one that will have to make the running behind the Chelsea defense.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Gerrard and Lucas (if he plays) are more than capable of going beyond Crouch and making themselves an attacking threat. We will have to make chances but we need to make sure that we have our shooting boots on.Originally posted by AFII View PostThe problem is that Crouch will have to create his own space now. Babel in this case would be quite good because he could capitalise on the space left in behind the defence.

Its very hard to see us getting much out of the game, now Torres is out. Lets face it we're down to SG now as a realistic threat. If we do get beat it shows just how far behind we are. They've got loads of players missing and this should have be a golden chance to beat them, but its hard to have any genuine hope of this happening.AKA Heighway No9

There is a massive gulf in squads. We have a few injuries and we aren't still confident of beating a half strength Chelsea side who realistically aren't title challengers

After SG & Torres all our best players are defensive ones, Masher, Carra, Reina, Agger, Finnan.
For Chelsea take Drogba & Lampard out, they still have Anelka, Malouda, SWP,Cole, Ballack as genuine attacking threats. Compare that to Kuyt, Kewell, Pennant, Benny & Alonso. No comparison I'm afraid.AKA Heighway No9

I see your point BUT Pennant and Harry do supply the crosses for Crouchy when he's there and Yossi is a serious goal threat.Originally posted by Sir Bob View PostThats right.

By the way, Ballack is a complete tosser
