I don't get the animosity to kewell at all,

okay so we signed him to an expensive deal, is that his fault? no
is it his fault he's been blighted by injuries? no
does he deserve to be slagged off for picking up top wages and being injured? no
would any of you give your wages back? no
has he said he wants a deal on the same terms? no
will he get a deal on the same terms? no

did he reject other clubs to come to us because he wanted to play for LFC? yes
has he worked hard to rehab all his injuries? yes
has he played for LFC even knowing he wasn't fit? yes
has he shown good character off the pitch? yes

Sure some of his recent performances haven't been too hot, but the man has hardly played a decent run of matches in the last 2 years, it's not his fault and if it takes him a while to get back to being match fit?

If we don't see a dramatic change in his performances over the next few months then no I don't think we should give him a new deal, and even if we do, obviously we've got to be clever about the type of deal we give him. But ffs why don't some of you try supporting the players we have now, the amount of slagging off he gets fromsome of the inbreds is out of order.
