your not allowed to make judgments like that as you think rafa is the wrong manager for everyone

Kuyt works his bollocks off every game. He isn't a great striker (he isn't a striker really), but he contributes enormously to the team. He frustrates me immensely, but I think he's beyond criticism because of his workrate. Any player asked to come to Liverpool Football Club and do a job would do so given the chance. Rafa wanted him, and he's doing his best (no-one could argue with that - he doesn't miss on purpose I'm sure!).

I think Torres and Crouch are the best attacking partnership we have, but Kuyt does so much work he must be fantastic to play alongside despite his poor goalscoring record.

        not so much that.

He needs a massive pre season. Get the lad fit. He can run fast, but he cant do it continually. You can see (it was more apparent at the start of the season) after he has made a run he is stuffed for a few minutes.

He ran out of gas yesterday in th 2nd half.

Get the lad super fit and we will have a cracking player, who can run at defenses non stop like Ronaldo does.

Kuyt did ok last night, but he is clearly not good enough for us. I dont see how anyone can argue with that.

Put a faster, more potent player on our right in the formation we played last night, and we will be in good shape

Same as he's been all season.Simply not good enough.

I really hope Rafa puts him out of his misery in the summer.

It really is depressing seeing him on the pitch.

              You're easily pleased.

He had a good workmanlike game, some great defensive work and he put in a couple of good crosses but again carried no threat on the opposition goal. And he faded badly in the second half. To be honest I'm actually starting to think if Rafa insists on playing him every game, then he's better off on the right hand side of midfield. No point playing him in a deeper central midfield role where he offers zero creativity and efforts on goal. At least on the right, he can motor up and down the wing and can occasionaly deliver a decent ball in.

Thankfully Kuyt will be part of the on and off field cull that will take place this summer and we'll get a striker as his replacement.

One who actually scores goals or at least poses a threat.

Couldn't hit a large barn door from 5 yards.

We'll be lucky to get a few million quid for him from some Dutch team but i'd still take it.

So yes, hopefully Kuyt is ready to fly.One way.

I like Kuyt`s workrate and blame Rafa on giving him a role which disables his goalscoring capability but eventually we`ll need a second high scoring striker next season. If kuyt wants to play 4 th fiddle he`ll be handy in some games next yr as 4th striker.

of course he isn't, he's way of the standard required. however after being constantly **** for months it was nice to see him have a good game, he kept their defense on it's toes, stretched it and created space and chances for crouch. having said that i wish he'll be permanently benched once torres becomes fit.

............. one way to holland on a one way ticket in the summer with huntelaar arriving in liverpool on the return flight.

They are both not good enough to take us to 19 anyway...
stop embarrassing yourself. Babel will be a superstar within a couple of years and you will feel very silly

Is this a wind up. It was one of his better games to be fair...he worked hard as usual put in a few decent crosses but offered no goal threat at all!

I've said all i have to say about Dirk Kuyt this season - not good enough end of story.

On the other hand Ryan Babel is different class altogether - against the chavs yesterday he was easily our best attacking threat and his substitution still has me scratching my head

If babel had been given half the chances (starts) that the afore mentioned waste of space had been given i bet he'd have double his goal tall by this stage of the season... i know babel is still a bit raw but you (I) can see that he is a genuine class act!!

People who stick up for Kuyt and slag off babel don't really know much about football imo and form their opinions from week to week after watching match of the day
I don't care as long as we finish above the blue ****e

I thought that Babel was poor yesterday. His decision making was right off and he still doesn't trust his own pace. Maybe in a year or so he will develop but yesterday he was off the pace by a long way.
