Someone has just posted on icliverpool that Gillette is selling his shares and it will be 35% to DIC and 15% to Hicks. Hicks will be responsable to the Stadium and DIC for transfers ect. The guy claims to be from the UAE

So hicks is keeping his share of 50% as well? Leaving him as the majority shareholder of 65%, is that how it is supposed to be understood? - In that case it is ****ing grim news that!

But all this exercise of presenting Hicks as backing and supporting of Rafa and the team can only mean that he is staying in some role! Perhaps as a way of getting in to the american market???

Someone has just posted on RAWK the exact same thing claiming that they want hicks on board as they want to crack America as they are finding it hard due to where they come from

Sounds like hopefully this saga is coming to a head, but as for the Hick's staying lark, i don't know, suppose this could be what he meant by "more hands on". Ffs i hope not, there are PLENTY of American business men DIC could bring in to 'crack America', surely.

Of course this could just be more speculation, who would know this info, the details, H staying G going etc. Sounds far fetched.......I hope.

Great minds think alike But I am more curious about what role hicks would play in that case. I seriously hope DIC get in as a major shareholder, with hicks and possibly others as only minor partners... Would gut me if Hicks still got a major role - the mediastunts however tell another tale - it is even on the offal, which usually don't carry these kind of stories!

I highly doubt Hicks will be the majority shareholder, i can see him staying for a while so that DIC can take the american market and create their brand their once that is done then imagine DIC will take full control.

Hicks for what its worth is a cunt i wouldnt trust him as far as i could throw him but if he is a minor shareholder and allows his contacts to work for us and DIC then he can be the silent partner.

DIC will make shore that he isnt going to rule the roost im shore of that,

Its all rumours at the moment but it seems Plausible with the comments of hicks with him wanting to take a more active role, backing Rafa Ect

So Bascombe was right about the unholy Alliance between Rafa and Hicks (last Sunday's NOTW)? It seems like Hicks will stay as a minor shareholder and Rafa has decided to make Hicks his "ally on the board".... funny old game isn't it?
