I can't see them doing a deal whereby Hicks has any say whatsoever in running the club. To have him as a majority shareholder must be their worst case scenario. Why has our value suddenly gone up? They scrutinised the club's finances, and the fella I know actually worked on the due dilligence himself over an 8 week period. They said they were not prepared to pay more than what they valued the club at, which was a fair bit less than what G&H paid.

Gillette has seemingly named his price, and DIC have agreed to match it. Unless Hicks agrees to match it too, I don't understand what the hold-up is about, and thats the info I'm not getting at the moment.

Honestly mate you are an idiot. DIC have been linked with buying us again for months. It is in the papers on an almost daily basis. Do you really think if they had no interest whatsoever wouldn't they just release a simple press release stating they have no interest. That would end it, yet it is not forthcoming.

The funny thing about that though is that no news is to be found on dubai based papers, tvs etc. when looking on the net. I would have thought that reports would of this magnitude would be available by the internet as well, and nothing seems to come up...

It is def. positive that several people are coming out, saying a deal is almost done and dusted... just weird that nothing is in the media, english nor dubai...

Well you go on thinking that DIC are nowhere to be seen. I happen to think that a company like DIC would not allow there name to be bandied about in the english press like rag doll when there is no substance behind it. Like i said a simple denial is all it would take.

Perhaps it is you that need to stay focused on the football because it is clear you have no idea about takeovers. So stop coming into this thread and deriding supporters who are a bit more (not much, but defintely more)knowledgeable in these matters than you.
