Not confident as such.
I know how these things work, and the slightest disagreement over any minor detail can lead to a collapse in the negotiations.
I can't see them doing a deal whereby Hicks has any say whatsoever in running the club. To have him as a majority shareholder must be their worst case scenario. I just can't see them doing it willingly. However, they did negotiate taking a 15% option last year, so perhaps they would be open to a joint venture.
I also know DIC want Liverpool really badly. That's worrying me slightly, as they'll be paying nearly 100mil more than what they would have this time last year.
Why has our value suddenly gone up? They scrutinised the club's finances, and the fella I know actually worked on the due dilligence himself over an 8 week period. They said they were not prepared to pay more than what they valued the club at, which was a fair bit less than what G&H paid.
Gillette has seemingly named his price, and DIC have agreed to match it. Unless Hicks agrees to match it too, I don't understand what the hold-up is about, and thats the info I'm not getting at the moment.

This is what makes me think it won't go through. When they lost out to H&G they said they wouldn't pay of the odds for assests...why change now?
I hope to God they take over but I can't see it happening.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The only thing I can think of is that they must see potential we do not.I just hope they do buy us 100% outright.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostThis is what makes me think it won't go through. youre a ****ing joke mate. why do you even post on this site?Originally posted by redheart View Postoh for ****s sake. DIC are NOT buying use.
There would have been some concrete proof by now if there was.
This is wishful thinking dragged on beyond any rational basis
unless this is all some weird reverse psychology thing youre doing with yourself in which case I apologise

Nice argument there! Sheesh.
Where is there a single shred of evidence that DIC are interested in buying us or that they have agreed a purchase, are close to doing so, or are trying to do so.
For all the crap on various forums there is absolutely no evidence of this.

Honestly mate you are an idiot. DIC have been linked with buying us again for months. It is in the papers on an almost daily basis. Do you really think if they had no interest whatsoever wouldn't they just release a simple press release stating they have no interest. That would end it, yet it is not forthcoming.Originally posted by redheart View PostNice argument there! Sheesh.

When you haven't got any rational arguments use personal abuse. Oh dear.
Papers generate bandwagons often without any foundation. They do it in all areas of their business.
Why is there no evidence of this then? No quotes in support of it? They weren't quiet the first time around.
Silence is not confirmation.
There is NO EVIDENCE of any attempt to purchase.FACT!
Unless that changes I suggest people concentrate on the football.

I live here mate ... there hasnt been a word said!Originally posted by Darkon View PostThe funny thing about that though is that no news is to be found on dubai based papers, tvs etc. when looking on the net. I would have thought that reports would of this magnitude would be available by the internet as well, and nothing seems to come up...
It is def. positive that several people are coming out, saying a deal is almost done and dusted... just weird that nothing is in the media, english nor dubai...

Well you go on thinking that DIC are nowhere to be seen. I happen to think that a company like DIC would not allow there name to be bandied about in the english press like rag doll when there is no substance behind it. Like i said a simple denial is all it would take.Originally posted by redheart View PostWhen you haven't got any rational arguments use personal abuse. Oh dear.

Perhaps it is you that need to stay focused on the football because it is clear you have no idea about takeovers. So stop coming into this thread and deriding supporters who are a bit more (not much, but defintely more)knowledgeable in these matters than you.
