I'd agree with you if their re-finance package was a long term oneOriginally posted by peekay View PostWhatever happens Hicks holds the cards as long as he has ownership of the club..Part of the reason Hicks may be trying to appease the fans now : apparently supporting Rafa, son going to Sandon would be trying to bluff to DIC that fans are alright with him, and he really does not have any urgent need to sell.
The fact it isnt suggests otherwise imoBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

No they wouldntOriginally posted by Rashid View PostThat's a great post mate.
It is quite plausible that DIC want the whole club and Hicks no longer wants to sell and is looking for investors himself to buy out Gillett. But from what I heard originally though Hicks wants to sell as much as Gillett. It's going on and on now... I still think though that Hicks holds a lot of the cards as even if DIC wanted to pay him his asking price, they would have to pay Gillett the same!
If they were negotiating separately its quite feasible that you could have a difference in priceLast edited by The Glove; 24-02-08, 11:43 PM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Hicks junior heckled in the Sandon.
You have to say he must be a complete moron going in there.
Does anyone know the fan who he spoke to?
Did he honestly expect the red carpet treatment?

Maybe..............here goes................you could look at it form the view that he knew exactly what might happen, but someone has to start bridge building somewhere..............just thinking aloud.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View Posthttp://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle3427890.ece

Just want an excuse so they can save their face when they sell to DIC. Of course they/he knew what would happen, no one is that stupid. They know that we hate everything that has anything to do with Hicks or Gillett.
Hicks have said himself that he keep track on what is going on, protests and so on.
Now they can walk out and say that they have been forced out and that it's to dangerous to stay.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I wonder if he still wants to move to Liverpool now?Originally posted by ronniedrew View Postif he was going in, it would suggest to me that they intend to be here for a while and he was trying to be a man of the people
if they were going to sell then why would he bother going to the sandon.
anyway, not surprised bit i dont condone violence and certainly not spitting, disgusting"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

So why did he go there then when he knew very well what the reaction would be, if he isn't an idiot of course?Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View Post
that's one of the daftest things I've ever heard. They're planning on staying, unless they get a stupid offer.
The Hicks camp know that we hate them so why go to Sandon, a place full of Liverpool supporters?
So is he an idiot or was it a part of the business game?Just believe and you never know what will happen.
