So if Rafa stayed quiet all would be good in the LFC world because we would be getting shafted behind our back?

Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

rafa can hardly come out and say publicly "these new owners are a couple of cunts, who are turning us in to the new leeds utd, i've still got to sell before i can buy because there putting no hard cash in to the club and if there other sports ventures are anything to go by there will be a h and g out campaign in place any time soon and i want to quite rightly distance my self from them"

he gave us the seed of doubt about the yanks which got us all thinking that maybe, maybe all was not well

he told us enough in that PC to prepare us for what lies ahead imo

as for sack rafa, could you explain this please and how it would help our dire situation, i mean you've obviously given it lots of thought

Good post. Rafa is a master of the media IMO. He got his message across and it needed to be said, because the future of the club is more important than this season.

hope you enjoy that extra money mr moores.
Mate, Moores and Parry had a legal obligation to get the best for the shareholders. I am not legally trained but I am pretty sure if Moores had taken a lessor offer (from DIC) he could have been sued by minority shareholders for not getting them the best deal. If this was a retail conglomerate or some other 'none emotional' business then no one would argue that it goes to the highest bidder.
The only option he would have had, if he had any concerns about the integrity of the higher offer, was to not sell at all but in the absence of an upped offer from DIC at that time, he would have been between a rock and a hard place....

The problem is that he recommended the other shareholders to accept the offer from G&H because it was the best offer for the club.

A blatant lie because he had done no check up on them.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i understand what your saying mate but before a deal from hicks and gillet was officially tabled there interest would of been shown and THAT was the time for moores and parry to do there homework.

rafa would of immediately and informed rick and david of his quite obvious concerns and thus allow them to do there own checking before allowing an official bid.

but i agree that once the bid was on the table there hands were tied, BUT it was neglegence/greed or both that allowed that bid to be tabled and for that there is no excuse.

Maybe, but that at that stage it was the 'only' offer for the club, at the expense of sounding rude, The DIC had pulled out !

I don't disagree with you mate but, I think they (Moores etc) did get comfy with Gillette in the preceding months and that is why when he came in with a better offer (and his new partner) they failed to look at the ‘new Partner’ in the detail that perhaps they should have. But even then, DIC had pulled away at that stage.

again mate you have to ask yourself why dic pulled out? the shareholders were happy with the deal, dic were happy with the deal, the fans were happy with the deal then rick and moores allowed another bidder to come in,WHY?

parry/moores wanted dic to **** off because they new that unless they did they couldnt be seen to take the yanks over them, it all boils down to money, disgusting

                          So Tommy is after 100%
So that would set him back say 200 million and the club will be in 350million in debt
Imagine if we finished 5th then!! We would be the new leeds

Moores and Parry ****ed it up, nothing we can do to change it. We can at them but we can't change what happened.

Both of them will be out soon and they are now trying at least to sort out the mess the club now are in before they vanish and will be remembered as the two men that almost sank the club.

I don’t think we can be sure as to why DIC pulled away but posts earlier in this thread (or another thread) suggested they were peeved because they thought the deal was done and it was ‘honour’ that made them withdraw.

As to the fans being happy with the DIC deal, I am not sure ‘all’ the fans were and it kicked off a bit when that ‘leaked report’ about the DIC 7 year sell off plan came to light.

It may have been down to money but I am still not convinced. Incompetence for sure, but not necessarily money .....
