Can you either lock this thread or block the Drama Queen Muppet from posting old articles

"A girl in my class said hi to me..... Have I got her pregnant?" I want to read that thread.

Not much information in there like, other than the posters statement last night that its all done. I remain unconvinced but heres hoping.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

"I urge all my fellow shareholders to do the same and to support the offer. By doing so, I believe you will be backing the successful future of Liverpool.
You could have done at least a 30 minutes check up before you urge the shareholders to accept a bid.

"They are bringing to the table tremendous and relevant experience, a passion for sport, real resources and a strong commitment to the traditions of Liverpool.

"Their approach represents exactly the sort of genuine partnership that Liverpool has been seeking over recent times.
Show how much check up they did, yes, not even one minute check up.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Have DIC bought the club yet?

Did you or Rashid check up on Hicks at that time??

I remember very few naysayers at that time, the only criticism I remember reading of Hicks was his penchant for leveraged buy-outs

Most of the other people were more angry at DIC losing out, than Randolph & Mortimer buying us

I admit to being guilty on most of the above, However, & it's a BIG however, I Assumed WITH JOY that for Moores & Parry to have gone with H&G over DIC, it meant that it SURELY MUST be a FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL Deal for the Club, with Contracted GUARENTEES of MILLIONS & MILLIONS of ££'s Funds for New players, a new stadium, etc, etc, etc.

How were we to know they would be this dementedly stupid/greedy/wrong/careless/amateurish.

and all the shareholders got more money as well. LFC was whored out to the highest bidder, fair enough they might say, its all business and LFC is no different might be the response but i just expected a bit more from parry and moores.

wasnt it them that said they were looking for the right people to buy lfc to secure the clubs future? thats why it took so long to find the right buyers who would understand what the club and its supporters would demand?

if they had just said "look, were a business and were looking for the most money for that business so we will sell to the highest bidder regardless" then at least we wouldnt feel like weve been sold up the river.

I was livid at Hicks and Gillett buying us over DIC at the time, Dave Usher did a piece on it at the time saying it would prove to be disasterous going by what he had heard.. it has proved so.

                          Taken from elsewhere

                          The Observer yesterday reported that:

"Tom Hicks is seeking an off-market placement of existing shares in Hicks Sports Group, which includes investments in Liverpool, the Texas Rangers baseball team and the Dallas Stars ice hockey franchise."

Some posters on here have seen this as an attempt to raise the cash to buy Gillett out. however, since the sale of these shares would reduce his holding in Liverpool, I don't think ths is what he's after.

I suspect this is an attempt to push DIC into buying these Hicks Group shares at an inflated price. We know DIC are likely to buy out Gillett, and that they would also like a majority shareholding in Liverpool. The only way they would get this is to buy some of Hicks share in the club as well. What Hicks is basically saying is that the only way they can do this is to also buy shares in his other 'franchises' (which are heavily debt laden and not doing well). By linking these to his LFC holdings, he is trying to push up their value and sell at the same time.

On the plus side, this also suggests that he has realised he can't raise the funds to buy the whole club.

I dont know if any of you remember but a few weeks back one or two of the broadsheets were reporting that Hicks was asking for certain non-related LFC terms and conditions to be met

I'm wondering whether this ties in further with this

Was thinking about Hicks offering Rafa a contract extension - could this be because Hicks knows DIC would want Rafa out, and is using this to put them off? .Of course that is assuming the rumours are true.
