Just seen this on the liverpool way and it made me laugh.

Tom Hicks doesn’t get much praise on this site these days. Surely there’s something good to be said about the leech. Isn’t it time to find something positive to say about him?

the guy is a born liar, everything he has said has tuned out to be the opposite:

'I havent spoke to DIC' yes you have
'I wont put debt on the club'- yes you did
'George and I get along fine'- no you dont

Amanda Staveley, a partner at private equity firm PCP, which is acting for Dubai International Capital, has this weekend brokered a peace deal with Liverpool FC co-owner Tom Hicks to buy a 49 per cent stake in the club.

But Ms Stavelely and DIC's chief executive, Sameer Al Ansari, see this as a holding tactic and will still press for long-term control. In the deal agreed on Friday, DIC is buying the 50 per cent stake owned by George Gillett for around £170m. But in return DIC will sell Mr Hicks 1 per cent, giving him a controlling 51 per cent.

Yes i heard that myself i wonder if he has said that if they sell him the 1% DIC can look after the day to day running of the club and he will be responsible for the stadium.

I agree he does sound very confident, I don't buy into the fact that ALL he says is posturing. They will all be in a room together in the next few days, I can't wait to see what transpires!

Hicks is a typical fcking Bush'ite. All brash saying this, that and whatever. Arsehole. Surprised he never came across that way when Moores and Parry spoke to him about the inital sale.
