I dont know how hes going to persuade DIC to inject capital without him dilluting his holding or matching that financial outlay himself

So whilst I'm certain he can see the massive profits on the horizon its like the donkey and the carrot stick, just a bit out of reach

IMO for Hicks to realise his massive profits he will have to accede more control and possibly more of his stake OR pump in money himself

if they invest say 50m net between them we will not be far away. we are only 4-5 players short of a decent team. imo

if he can hang on until the stadium is built i think he could then maximise his share potential by selling to dic.

dic obviously know this and want him out now. therefore more profit for dic in the long term, and they are definately in it for profit

tbh im not convinced that if DIC get in it will be with 49%.

if,and its a big if,they do get in i wouldnt be surprised if it was with full or majority share holding.

i think theres an awful lot of negotiating left,and i reckon if both parties are meeting over the next few days DIC will be doing their darndest to get a hell of a lot more than 49%

Yes he can and more than likely will

But equally he would have to have DIC's approval to lump the stadium debt on the club (I believe)

For me the key battles will be the initial loan particularly if it is reportedly being transferred to one of DIC's subsidiaries and the loan of the stadium

That is where the squeeze will be put on Hicks imo as he will need a board majority and or DIC's shareholder agreement to pay out dividends and to put any future loans against the club

Wild unsubstantiated theory:

One thing that just occurred to me is that they are not arguing over 49% of Liverpool FC, but a holding company. A private agreement between the two groups could mean anything in this regard. eg on asset value they could be agreeing that Liverpool FC and training grounds is worth about 49% whilst Anfield and the new stadium is worth about 51%. Thus they split the shares in the holding company in that way and the private agreement between them states over what assets that split is done... this could well leave DIC in day to day running of the club but the with Hicks being Mr Stadium, on paper the larger share-holder and probably some agreement over how he would be involved in large management decisions. And no doubt some agreement about how he can only sell the 51% with DIC's agreement and giving them first option.

Just think theres too many who think they are going to be the saviours and just throw money at us, personally i think its the last thing they'll do.

It'll be a sustained investment over a pre-determined period imo, with a long term view of selling us on. In a business sense they are no different to G & H regardless of what they may or may not say in public.

I want them to come on board and get rid of the other 2 as much as anybody, but the underlying feeling of some it seems to me is that they want them on board so Rafa will get an unlimited transfer budget and they'll buy us the title a la Abramovich, and i just cant see that happening.
