i would much rather we progressed rather than did a chelsea where by everyone can knock us if we start winnin the league again.

we'd all love to be back on top now rather than in 3 years, but allowing an already impressive young team to mature along with some quality purchases in the same bracket is better, even it means waiting a year

3-4 high quality young players to add to the team, along with more rafa-esque youth recruitment would be fantastic, with perhaps the odd trophy singing as has been mentioned

I know what you mean, but honestly, i just want the Prem won soon as, then that particular weight can be lifted off the club/players/fans shoulders. Then we can as you say allow our quality youth to progress along side the Big names.

I just feel not having won the prem is an added pressure for all concerned. Affects the way we play in some cases, how we go about things. imo.

Our current squad is far better than Chelsea's was when they began spending outrageous money. I think if we make a bit on sales (hopefully Carson will be pulling in a good fee) then our outlay doesn't have to be astronomical.

It wouldnt surprise me to see the odd "trophy signing" from DIC, handpicked by them

I hope not I hope they stick to giving Rafa who and what he wants (within reason, obviously). 50m players and DIC throwing their weight around worries me
