Excuse me but does anybody, ANYBODY know IF and WHEN this 90 day clause has started, if at all?
All I hear is 90 days, 90 days.. has it passed or does Hicks have a say in that as well?

I'm mighty pissed because of the timing of the announcement, but I think this is not the end of it, Gillett and DIC have been quiet so far...

dont think anyone knows for sure mate but theres no way hicks or anybody for that matter can assume exclusive buying rights to shares not owned by them, not indefinately anyway.

IMO I think this is Hicks ego taking over. He wants DIC to know that he is in charge and he is unimpressed with their press releases over the weekend. The longer this goes on the more untenable his position as owner becomes. He is angling for a better deal.

My dislike of Hicks can't be measured, however I don't think this is the end. I believe that DIC are simply not going to stop until they get us and this fat cyunt is playin the big man and simply trying to wait out for as much as he can get.

Hicks - You are, have been since you showed up, and remain to be a total embarrassment to our great football club. Two things dont make sense with his statement.

Why would he have a problem with decisions being made by committee? Isnt that the same as a board of directors? Isn't that what we have now? Does this suggest that Hicks doesnt want one as with the current and potential future members he wont get to get his decisions through. He wants to be number 1 and key decision maker.

In his experience of sports it doesnt work? This surprises me because he hasnt been ultra successful in anything on the sports front to know if that is the case, he goes through Hicks Holdings and so wouldnt be subject to a committee. If he looks at footy in general the decisions are usually makde by a group of people rather than one. Barca are incredibly successful through making decision via committee.

I hope this is more BS from Hicks, he is severely disliked, even I feel by those who feel he has done nothing wrong on a team funding front. The time is ripe for those involved in the proceedings to help increase the heat on Hicks. ie Gillett to say he wants to sell to DIC if that is the case and why, Moores if he feels he has messed up and Parry as well.

I think DIC wont stay around for much longer if they are treated like dirt, then again, I hope they are ready for the battle.

They're professional and highly successful people, not idiots. They wanted to rattle Hicks and they've done it.

How come everyone knows Hicks is a lying knob, but suddenly this is the truth he's suddenly decided to give us ? Bollox - it's negotiation in public that's all.

It's been hinted elsewhere that there are more than one extra players involved now. It seems that TH has managed to spark the interest of more than one other investor (just as he mentioned in his statement).

This would make the negotiations more difficult as it becomes an auction. TH will feel he holds the major cards now, particularly if the new potential investors are some of his American mates. DIC could well end up with whole club - I suspect this is the only way they will get their foot in the door, but they are likely to pay nearer TH valuation.
