I never really expected anything from today, the fact we defended alot better than last week is a bit of a positive for me.

Don't think some of the comments on here about Pennant are justified, but I can see where some people are coming from.

I think you're being slightly unfair on Jamie there. Lampard is his cousin so he's hardly going to slag him off is he? Redknapp is just as complimentary about some of our players.

Sorry mate but he doesn't have to be excused for anything that he says.

If I remember rightly he was sticking up for us today.

Yes there are positives from the season so far but unfortunately the squad seem to have acquired a **** load of negatives over the summer too.
Not only have we got 4 points from 4 games, but we've only deserves 4 points from 4 games. That's with a dodgy penalty at Sheff Utd.
rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.

                Goals 2006/7 (CS, PL, CL)

Sheff Utd : we deserves a draw and were fortunate to get the penalty.
                    West Ham : A deserves 3 points
Everton : A deserved gubbing, horrendous 90 minutes from LFC, thoroughly embarrassing
Chavski : Despite having a man advantage for nearly half the game we never put them under pressure, considering we had the extra man we didn't deserve a point.

So yes, I think we have 4 points and that's what we deserve.

I agree with you on the first two but not the second or third. We never deserved a 3-0 defeat against Everton and had it not been for inept refereeing they wouldn't have scored their first goal never mind the second.

As for today i thought we created a good few chaces and probably should have scored 1 or maybe 2 of them. We deserved a point today at least.

We might not have deserved a 3-0 defeat to Everton but I haven't heard from 1 red who thought we deserved a point from that game. We were thoroughly outplayed.
As for today, if you can't dominate the game against 10 men for over 35 minutes then you don't deserve anything.
                        That's my view.

                          2) Dirky - ok he hasn't scored yet but he looks the real deal.
                          3) Qualifying for the group stages of champs league.
                          4) Good away point in first game of the above.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

How many chances did the chavs have for those 35 minutes? We did do reasonably well. Would you have been saying things like this if Stevie had converted his chance and/or Crouch had scored at the end.

As for the game at Goodison. Had Everton not scored first who knows what would've happened. We did get beat 3 nil but we didn't deserve to and their first goal which came directly from a foul changed the course of the match. I don't remember being "outplayed" by them, we certainly weren't in the second half.

Oh well, our opinions of the Everton game differ, perhaps someone else can give their opinion on whether we deserved a point in that game.

Chavski had as many chances as we did in those 35 minutes with 10 men.

I never said we desrved a point from the blue****e game. What I said was that had the ref blown for the foul for their first goal, something that he should have done, then the game could have been different.

As for the chavs having as many chances as us in those 35 minutes? I really can't recall Pepe having to make one save and then there was the penalty claim from Robben. We had alot more chances in that time and when you look at the action areas on opta stats you'll see that we dominated possesion and territory for long perionds of the second half.

We should also have had a penalty.
