    Is the squad really any better now than under Houllier?

    Look at it man for man and there's not much in it. Hyypia under Houllier was obviously a lot younger, Riise was half decent and Finnan was also younger and quicker. Pick a selection from this lot and it would have the better of Rafa's team.

    Riise
    Hyypia
    Carra
    Kewell
    Gerrard
    Hamman
    Murphy
    Heskey/Owen/Cisse/Anelka/Baros
    Henchoz
    Diouf

    Only Torres and Reina would make a regular appearance.

    "If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

    I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

          That post is total rubbish. I think your over reacting in the heat of the moment there. This squad we have now pisses all over Geds one. The fact that we made **** all on any of houillers signings shows this

                FA Cups, UEFA, Carling....

                Houlliers team under achieved towards the end, but that is not my point. I'm looking at the team under each player for player, and for me, Houlliers squad would have the better, maybe not under Houllier though.

                Hyypia, was better then
                Finnan was better then.
                Gerrard
                Riise was better then.
                Hamman was better than Mascher is at the moment
                Anelka, Baros or Heskey were all better than Crouch/Kuyt.

                You seem to think I was saying that each player was better than ours now, but I wasn't. I'm saying that overal I think that GH's team was actually better.

                    A little longer but Rafa needs a kick up the arse.

                    Reina, Gerrard and Torres should not be rested unless they are injured and we should start every game with the best team and only take players off with the game won.

                      We're just littered with **** right throughout the squad, not to mention the fact that half the team are bottlers.
                      Utd game at home proved that.
                      A lack of mental toughness is evident when the going gets tough for this Liverpool side.

                          Personally i have been vert disapointed and believe that Rafa should have been gone a month or two ago.

                          I don't care what's happening with the Yanks as Rafa is responsible for the team and needs to operate in the environment in which he is employed - End Of.

                          All these Rafa can do no wrong people need their heads examined.....
                          The bloke has not been able to instill confoidence, leadership, motivation or good mental toughness in his squad and without that we have nothing.

                          Another thing - all those who say No Way Jose.....well I bet you on the same bunch of players we'd be getting better results.... and he would have no issues in not selecting underperformers - the same players that Rafa tends to love.
                          There is no space at LFC for the likes of Pennant, Kuyt, blah blah blah (there are so many).

                          The sooner we get someone else the better
