After my wife complaining for the past 2 years that I watch football way too much, I've given in to her and I've decided to let my pay TV go.

Our poor results have affected my moods way too much and I think that my family deserve better.My alligance to the Reds will neverchange but I think that it's time to take a step backwards as something like a football match, which I have no control over, shouldn't dictate my feelings for the whole week. Im also finding it harder and harder to like Gerrard. He just looks like he doesn't care. Its like HE runs the club, he undermines Rafa in the changeroom, he also has too much of an ego. He would be first out the door if i was manager. He is no captain.

One thing that annoys me, is if someone loses the ball he'll give them plenty of stick, but when he loses it, he'll put his head down, and walk back.

It's very rare these days to see him make those mad chases, and cut someone down to the grass with a completely legit challenge after racing back 40 yards.

The only one i can recount this season was on Anderson against Man Utd at Anfield.

He also tends to try and do everything himself, as if he doesn't trust anyone else on the team. I.e. taking corners and free kicks, sure he's scored off a few FK's this season, but together with corners, he is rather poor at them.

He'd be much more of a threat in the box attacking the ball.

I'm sure Rafa knows this, i'm also sure Gerrard would chuck a wobbly if he wasn't allowed to take set pieces anymore.

I'm not criticising him here for his performances, but more so his attitude.

I don't know him personally, but on the football field it seems he has a rather large ego.

I don't think the team needs major surgery Harv. We've got the spine of a great team, we need more in attacking areas for sure, but these are the players who cost more money. Money wise, we're light years behind at the moment, and it's been like that for a long time.

It's been a disastrous season as soon as Rafa and the yanks started to have a go at each other, by via of the press. This ****e should have been dealt in the background and the players should have been spared all this cinema.

As soon as we all unite behind our team, supporters and players singing the same anthem and really believing it, that would be the time when we'll be going up again. I'm certain of it.

Its stems from the players i mention...they have accepted it for years. So why would they change.

it becomes glaring when we play the top teams, especially man utd, it's like our players have an inferiority complex. could be a result of how our past 2 managers have approached games trying not to lose rather than going after teh other team and attacking them

No I don't think there is mate. Yes, by having seasons after seasons of failures doesn't help, who wouldn't ? The first title is always the most difficult trophy to be won. It's the holy grail, and it's made the legend that is LFC.

It'll eventually come, and Stevie will be the one lifting it. He may be 30 odd years when that happens, but he will. Never lose the faith. Let's write off this season and try to salvage as much as we can.

Problem is that SG is still a wee boy. Liverpool needs a man to lead. Pepe or Torres would be ideal. I leave out Carra 'cos he is not playing good enough to get in the first team.

thats it. He's a ****ing fantastic player on his day. But his attitude stinks, and it has done since Houllier left. Im sick of him to be honest, and i know for a fact that there are many on here that feel the same. He thinks he runs the cub mate....its clear as day. I thouroughly believe that had Gerrard gone to Chelsea when he wanted too, we would of been much better of for it. He never wanted to play Rafa's way, he wanted to play his way.

We're not a defensive team Ron, I think it's unfair mate. Our problem under Rafa has always been putting chances when we've been dominating games and controlling them.

We've battered Arsenal, United and Chelsea before but came with nowt for all our efforts. That's got to affect players in the end, but it all comes with the territory of playing for LFC. It makes things harder but it's down to them to rectify this.
