the worst thing i've seen him do this season is give away a huge amount of silly frees away in dangerous positions by stupidly piling into the back of the opposing forward( I counted 3 such examples in the chelsea match)
the sun gives life and it takes it away
but like all the greats it will burn out some day

odd thing is that now that he's retired from England, youd've thought he'd be fresher and more on point than he is. He has been poor by his standards this season, dont know if the excuses about Agger/Hyypia stand up, but lets hope it is a just a blip and he can get back on form next season.

Carra hasn't been 100% since he picked up that Rib Injury a few months back still, he's only one of a couple of players who give 100% every week

If Agger had been fit he would've been dropped by now, or you'd like to think he would've been.

I think soon as Agger is fit again, it should be time for Carragher to be drafted in the odd game. I think rotation would benefit him.

Maybe but, i think we'll see a back three of Carra, Agger and Sktel played more next season IF Rafa is still here along with two attacking wing backs

Well thats what i hope to see anyway eh

Carragher is suffering from playing in a defence thats not settled. He woud benefit from Agger playing thats fo'sho.

Carragher is playing with a back line which is ageing like himself and don't have the ability to basically defend.

Finnan- he is showing his age now
Hyypia- too old, too slow. Legend but can be a liability for us
Riise- the less said the better
Arbeloa- too lightweight and too right footed
                    Aurelio- same applies like Riise

                        Liverpool form worries Carragher
                        Jamie Carragher
Carragher is desperate for the Reds to win the Champions League
Liverpool are suffering from something more serious than a "bad spell", according to defender Jamie Carragher.

The Reds, who have experienced a dip in form in the Premier League, were dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of Championship side Barnsley at Anfield.

Carragher, 30, said: "I wouldn't call it just a bad spell - it's been longer.

"We realise we are not playing well enough. It's not a matter of putting your finger on one reason. It's simply because we have not been good enough."

Liverpool have picked up only eight points in seven league games leaving them in fifth spot, 19 points adrift of leaders Arsenal and three points from the fourth Champions League qualifying berth, currently occupied by rivals Everton.

                        606: DEBATE
Are Liverpool's expectations set too high?

Former England defender Carragher added: "We've still got Europe to play for and we have to fight for that fourth place, so every league game is going to be important. We have to make sure we are in the Champions League next season."

Rafael Benitez's men face a tough task against Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League knockout match on Tuesday, with the Italian side leading Serie A by 11 points.

"At every club there are ups and downs but we realise we are going to get a lot of criticism in the next few days - and rightly so," stated Carragher.

"We've got a massive game coming up against Inter, so we are going to have to get over this because the Champions League is massive for us now.

"It's the only thing we have left that we can win."

Well he says it like it is. Can't blame him for that but DON'T TURN YOUR BACK TO A PLAYER!

Glad someone else mentioned that, i thought it was just me being over-critical of Carra. He did turn away from the lad who scored Barnsleys winner. Maybe protecting his ribs? Anyway, its history now, lets move on.
"I just felt that the whole night, the conditions and taking everything into consideration and everything being equal, and everything is equal, we should have got something from the game - but we didn't." - JOHN BARNES

Not the first time late in the games that Carra ****ed up, happened many times this season almost like he want Rafa gone even if it means knocked out of a cup and dropped points.

We have been lucky enough that several of his **** tackles and hand ball penalty incidents have not led to more penalties against us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Do you really believe Carragher would deliberately **** up? If so you are more clueless than I have ever given you credit for.
