I Agree with you, these are hard times, times when the liverpool way, if NOT followed by our owners SHOULD be by the fans, it's the only way for now, the priority is to sort Ownership of Our club out & move to a new BIGG£R stadium, That done, With Rafa still in charge, then we can Truly judge the man.

However, in terms of age & Trophy's won, & Value of Trophy's won, I would say Rafa is well along the way to becoming one of the Great coaches, But it takes time. I'm prepared to give it.

i agree with that. i'm prpeared to give him time but how much???

and, it might just be me, i am delighted to look back at rafa's cup record - 2 CL finals (won one) FA cup final (won) Super cup final (won) carling cup final (lost) - but i WANT and would gladly swap the lot for the EPL title. how long do we give him to win this when it looks like we could end up 20-30 points off top again?

I believe things will get a lot better, maybe not this week, maybe not this month, but if we stick with Liverpool values and stick with our great manager there's a better future.
Those who wish to ignore the chaos caused by our owners and slag the team and the manager, well you deserve all the misery you like to wallow in.
Totally agree with you bud. Too many bad vibes and negativity. Yes the football's ****e but things will get better.

We have to take the good times with the bad times. These things happen, what we don't need is people letting their heads drop. Keep backing the team and walk through the storm as the lyrics say.

I will support rafa for as long as he is our boss however I think every fan has the right to question and criticise the manager and players after all we pay their wages and we are bigger than the club.

At least if you support it may help.

I'd love to come into your place of work and call you a cunt all day and say your ****e at your job and see how much that helps you.
well said, but some people are never happy no matter what.

I have no problem with that. Vitriol, short memories and blinkered negativity I do dislike.

Someone said to me recently that you can't get p!ssed off at isolated incidents- something I mentioned in a post after the City away game I think. These are past isolated now. Tottenham, Wigan, Villa, Barnsley, Arsenal and Chelsea (whilst leading), a terrible performance at home to United, not to mention Birmingham and then Portsmouth and City away. We've been utter tripe in all of those games. Fair enough we played nicish football against Chelsea and i know "we got screwed" but once we scored we never looked like scoring again. All games that should have been won.

The same person also highlighted that football forums can't really measure the state of the clubs position cause you've always got Pro and anti manager people and pro and anti player people.

For those that are still willing to give Benitez time- that's fine. But please just tell me why? If you've got a gut feeling then sound but apart from that what is it? I'm not coming on here demanding his head but the realisation over the last month that not only are we not title contenders but a complete joke instead has hit me quite hard and the reason being is because benitez keeps chopping and changing the side, barr Torres we've got a further 17 and half Million pounds worth of striking players on the pitch that can't hit cows arse with a ****ing bulldozer and they are his signings. The fact he refuses to learn from his mistakes- Burnley/Barnsley for example.

There's no point in him leaving now cause we'll just leave ourselves in more lumber but at the end of the season he's got to move on. This is hard for me cause in August I was in love with Benitez- literally. But a 4th consecutive season under him and STILL NOWHERE near the title isn't good enough.

Unfortunately IMO we've got to that point again where like under Houllier people can't make a decent arguement for the manager other than his trophy count. Like Houllier it's impressive, also like Houllier its a trophy count that lacks a league title added to that like Houllier the style of football is ****ing atrocious!

Makes you wonder- take all this USA bollocks out of the equation and how safe would Benitez be? You think if these two gob****es had sat down, shut up and kept their promises we'd be tolerating this ****e on the pitch? I don't ****ing think so!

The main portion of the 'slagging off' is merely saying people arent good enough. That's not slagging off.

What is the reason for people's views then, if not 'honest frustration' ?

People seem keen to invent some kind of bizarre 'agenda' when there's no logical reason for any agenda to exist.

So you continue to want him in charge, if you believe he's now doing DAMAGE?

And that last line sums it up for me, you'll never 'turn on him' (as you put it) because of Istanbul. Whatever he does, whatever happens...he's untouchable to you.

Sums up my view that for some, nothing is ever his fault, he can do no wrong and he should stay forever.

What evidence is there to say that things will get better, and improve to the level they should be? They seem to be getting worse.

I can't believe I have just read this on a LFC forum.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
