Who said they're ****? If they were ****, then 5th in the league would be a great achievement.

It's easier to raise yourself for a 'big game'...the same applies to most fans, as it goes. Hear a pin drop against Barnsley (aside from the boo's)...

WHU game at home on 5th March...been on general sale since friday, STILL not sold out. Tonight though, every fecker wants to be there and sing their hearts out...

    Funny that.

Games like this, they DONT need motivating for - did you notice how everyone was up for it, everyone gave 100% and there was drive, passion and desire.

Games against 'little' barnlsey and 'little' luton - totally different. The players arent up for it and rafa hasnt been able to get them up for it.

      That was the difference tonight.
That's bull****, everyone including yourself agreed that there we're no motivation issues during the barnsley game.

It's pretty amazing how you can take a great performance and turn it into a stick with which to beat Rafa. You're pretty twisted I must say.

        that's one interpretation

or perhaps barnsley was a wake up call, they didn't want to lose at home twice in a week, their pride kicked in

the fact this is the only thing to play for this season- we lose there's only fighting for 4th place to look forward to- could have got their competitive juices flowing

the point is it's all speculation, we don't KNOW, it's a complex issue that isn't determinable by any one answer

inter milan didn't look too bothered, are you going to say mancini has a hard time motivating them?

I'm not beating rafa with anything, he was spot on tonight and deserves immense credit.

but you say it with such authority, as if you know it to be the case, and try to beat rafa down with your motivation bat again

                  Christ on a bike...

1st we had 'slagging him off', then 'turning on him' and now this...

So basically, if you happen to think rafa has any weaknesses anywhere and isnt the bestest manager in the world, ever ever ever....you're 'beating him with a stick' ?

Get over yourself and your high-and-mighty attitude.

I state it as an opinion and made an observation, based on that opinion...get over it.

This attempt at misdirection just re-inforces that fact that you are the tit you are.

i think you need to get over it mate. using a fantastic match like tonight to prove some mundane point that has no legs....just enjoy the win mate!

I addressed the point - you think any criticism is 'beating him with a stick' - i dont. Good night.

Superb in europe, mediocre in the league. Nothing we didnt already know.
Sack him. Get someone in who's neither or given the time to be both.

I've thoroughly enjoyed it mate, it was a great atmosphere and it'll live in the memory, same as Chelsea, Juve and the others. That doesnt negate from me being able to have an opinion that doesnt paint rafa as perfect in every way.

The problem Ron is you are beginning from a position in which DJS' points are credible. He has demonstrated time and time again that he has an agenda and that he will selectively apply only those opinions which support that agenda.

Everytime he takes an untrue premise (' the lads weren't up for it against Barnsley') and makes conclusions from it, (Rafa can't motivate). He's just making a fool of himself. For sure it will be couched in sophistry, but at the end of the day it is still BS.
