I just knew the minute I saw the interview that despite the amazing victory, some amateur psychologists would be on here trying to read things into it.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostSG needs to grow up and say whats right for the team. So obviously sulking in post match interviews does no one any good and creates more and more uncertainty around us. He thinks he's been smart but he's just undermining us.
For a liverpool captain to consistently refuse to back his manager is just unheard of
You are more than entitled to your opinion mate but none of us know anymore than what we see on telly, so isn't it a bit pointless trying to find hidden menaings in a few words given after a tough 90 minutes? In recent weeks all sorts of poster on here have gone on about the players undermining Rafa, wanting him out etc and it's pointless speculation based on no evidence whatsoever but is recited as if it is a fact.
Look at the perfornance on the pitch, the tremedous spirit and togetherness the players showed and tell that doesn't show they are pulling in the same direction for the team and the manager.

**** me so now we are all behavioral therapists? This Stevie G lad can't win can he? He plays his arse off (as most of you on here demand week in week out and moan when he doesn't), scores a fantastic goal.
But nope, that isn't good enough. So let's have a crack at the lad because of what he said in his post match interview.
Apparently he's thick, self centered, blah blah blah.......
One thing you might forget about these 'boys' that we watch week in week out is that most of them are just that 'lads'. It struck me when I had the chance to speak with Daniel Agger in Denmark the other week. He was more nervous than me. He is jus an ordinary lad.
You are deriding Gerrard for not speaking out just because JC has. Not all footballers are the same. Just like people. You can kick some people up the arse and the will turn around and say sorry to you. Yeah, on the pitch he is a leader, but they doesn't mean he is going to be the next PM.
How about we enjoy the result and back the team instead?Winning an argument on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you are still a retard!

He just needed to say what Carra said, or something similar. The Journos are playing with him now, they know he won't back Rafa so they keep asking the question.Originally posted by Gazmo1 View Post**** me so now we are all behavioral therapists? This Stevie G lad can't win can he?
BTW It's cognitive not behavioural

Nah mate. The journos have been playing with him. They've asked him multiple times to back Rafa and he hasn't.Originally posted by fah-q View PostI think the Gerrard "not singling out" comment was aimed in a more general way than is being read into. He means it's about the team, which it is.
After the bascombe piece implying that Carra and SG were at odds w/Rafa, carra made a point of saying he backed Rafa. SG was given the opportunity and he made a point of not backing Rafa. Immature on his part if you ask me.The Crushing Machine MKII

i think it's probably the case that SG isn't 100% with rafa - same with rafa's attitude to SG i reckon - but in all honesty i don't think Sg has the media savvy to deal with the questions either.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostNah mate. Bearing mind what happened to those 3, I'm quite happy for SG not to come out and back Rafa. Looks like he wouldn't know a winner if they slapped him across the face with a wet fish.Originally posted by SpeedyG View Post
He was always coming out in support of Houiller, Mclaren, Sven but not Rafa.
