      And so he should.

He looks like he could do with a change of scenery.
      Oh I don't know.

Well, he is fourth choice right now behind Mascherano, Gerrard and Lucas.

I would sell him for £15m+ without any doubt at all.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

          Personally I think he's a goner.

But where are Radio City getting this from? Doesn't everyone 'contemplate their options' every day? They're hardly sticking their neck out, are they.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No one is going to pay 15m for a 4th choice midfielder who hasn't been doing the business for over 2 years. You're living in dream world I'm afraid.

Didn't his brother make some comment about him wanting to go to Barca or something similar?

I'd be relucant to write off a player at his age and of his quality. He's still only 25/26, he's had some nasty injuries to put up with and i'm sure he'll be the first to admit his form hasn't been up to scratch in the last year.
However there's no reason why given an injury free spell that he can't reproduce his old form.
We'd be foolish to let a player like him go, no matter what the price.

Yes, Leeds heard about it and bought him for £15m to be paid over 1000 years.

They probably just picked it up from the Daily Mail.

                      From the BBC gossip column:

"Barcelona are keen on Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso but the Spaniard wants to wait until the summer before deciding on his future. (Daily Mail)"

Alonso was in great form at the start of the season. One of the reasons that LFC were at the top of the league.

Of course he then got injured, and was rushed back too soon v Arsenal. Since then he seems way of the pace. Still a top class player, but someone with a bit more zip about them would probably suit us better in the Premier League.

Such as maybe Sulley Muntari, or Diarra, both of whom we have been linked with. Danny Guthrie and Jay Spearing could well be given a chance too.

If we could get £20m for him, it'd be good business.
