Correct decision of course, but lucky the ref spotted it.

"I'd probably go with him even if I didn't have to."
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Wasn't Reina's best game either.Should of saved their 1st goal.
Arbeloa was very poor, as was lucas all game. Reina would have to have pulled off an amazing save to stop the first. It was 50-50 ad he guessed the other way when it came to anticapating the shot, which is what you have to do from that close. No chance really with the 2nd goal either. As usual he was c;ass distribution wise. Average game, not poor.
        Forwards.......

I must disagree. kop-al-74 is perfectly within his rights to be wrong if he wants to be.

Love these threads. Loads of you come on here and just list all the negatives you can find. Why? Why cant you just be happy with 3 points and quite an entertianing game (ie lots going on)? Not vintage by any means, but does it matter right now? Not many have mentioned the many (yes many) great flowing attacks we launched. At times (as is often the case) we played some sublime stuff. You lot should try being a bit less critical ALL the time.

I notice today that it is really quiet in here. Clearly the main moaners don't like to celebrate a win in an exciting game.

I agree. It was entertaining and Middlesborough are no mugs nowadays. As for Southgate respect to him for not giving up the game and putting 2 more forwards on.

We have played games this season where I have watched in disbelief as we fail to hit the net or fail to hol on after dominating play.

I think we just about deserved it today, we certainly did n't deserve to get beat, but we were very poor.

Lucas was below par, bu the biggest problem was defence. If you combined Arbeloa and Hyypia you'd have the perfect defendar. As a stand alone pair they are ****e. Arbeloa is clearly not good enough to be a centre back at this stage in his career. Stick to full back fella.

Gerrard didn't seem at the races either, just sood there sulking at times, but as he was palying just of the striker he can get away with it.

But we did win, and that is the only thing that matters.
Carra suspended, Skertel not fully fit and Agger not fully fit. So who would you suggest?
