i think it's a fair question. just like every other fan, i'll go mental if we win big ears but... the nagging doubts won't go away. it's totally understandable to ask the question "how can we be the best team in europe if we're the fourth best in our own league?" i know the answers btw - different competetion, tactics, hardly anyone ever does a double (ggrrrrrrr - poxy ****in cunts) blahblahblah.

Especially as I was joking with you. We have both had some good banter over the past couple of days on various posts.

You're not very good at this are you? You'd make a great fish...

          No.

the state of us in the league makes me physically sick. If we are not careful, soon we will be looked upon as a "second tier" premier league team

Of course it's a success but it doesn't mean we can just forget about the shambles of a premiership season.

After being on here for as long as I have, I think I'm on another level to most people. I continuosly find myself trying to explain my posts as they are too thick to read between the lines. The level of intelligence of the human race worries me:bird:

So you'd just convienently forget the league? Some 'supporters' disgust me. Settle for 4th best team in England (at best)- absolutely unreal. The league is our bread and butter, that is where we HAVE to perform. Shame onall of you that are happy with this ****e in the league

i presume that was directed at me

no i wouldnt have forgot the league, i thought 2005 and was a great season and one that would live in my memory forever, and if the same happened again, i would think the same.

so put the word "supporter" in quotes and put yourself up on a pedastal, and then stick it...

I wouldn't call it a successful season at all. It reiterates the point we don't have a squad good enough to win games consistently throughout the season. As fans, we are happy to settle for fourth best? What the heck?! As Nic83 said, the league is our bread and butter. We should be challenging that.

I'd say that winning the CL would be a hugely successful achievement, but, when you take into account the league performance, it's hard to describe the overall season as being successful.
