Neil Prince I remember a thing about him probably about 8-9 years ago on BBC about young talented footballers and he was touted as the next big thing and the savour for the English's left midfield.

I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely not sarcasm.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI detect sarcasm.
You did say he was taking the piss - which I don't think he was.
No one should ever take the piss when talking about anything related to GBS. A play on words I can accept but that will be still to close to the bone for most people who have direct contact with GBS.I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best, isn't very nice

He was a centre half in the late 70's/ early 80's. He played most of his football at Swansea under Toshack when they were in the old first division.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostColin Irwin - Forgive my ignorance, but who is he?
I remember him playing for Liverpool and checking up on him, he was a European Cup Winner in 1978 as an unused sub.

Well united released him, i think more for attitude than anything else, i.e. thought he was the mutts nuts before he'd done anything. he said a few things about being given another chance and all that when he came to us. (sound familiar?) but obviously it didnt work out.Originally posted by RedWolverine View PostWas he ever any good?

Colin Irwin - I seem to remember him making a fantastic interception vs Bayern in the EC semi 1981 - It was 2 v 1 & he timed it to perfection.

Istvan Kozma anyone? One of souness' fine bag of spanners.
István Kozma

István Kozma was a Hungarian football player (born 3 December 1964, Paszto). He played in midfield.
He began his career at Salgotarjani TC in his native country, then moving to Újpest FC, and then to French side Bordeaux. In December 1989, he switched to Scottish team Dunfermline Athletic for £550,000 which is still the clubs record transfer fee.
There he became a firm fan favourite, playing 103 times and scoring 9 goals. In February 1992, he was a shock purchase for Liverpool, with Graeme Souness signing the Hungarian for £300,000. Kozma would never look like breaking into the first team. In 1991-1992 season he made 6 league appearances, two in the FA Cup and one in the League Cup. However, in 1992-1993, he would make just one appearance, as a substitute in a Premier League game, before being released in July 1993.
He then returned to Újpest FC.
In 1995-96 he played for APOEL Nicosia where, after amazing performances, he led his team to the Double.
Kozma played 40 times for the Hungarian national side, scoring once.

Yep, he's still at Carlisle and a regular in the team (not the captain though). They're currently in 2nd spot in League One and among a tight group of teams pushing for promotion. Anyway, they're definitely a team on the up.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostDavid Raven is still at Carlisle and, I think, captain.
