"Ngoo was filling up balloons from cannisters. Each of the defendants had a rucksack. They was money passing to them and Thompson was handing out balloons to festival goers.
"The guard observed eight to fifteen transactions within 10 minutes. They were detained and had 312 cannisters between them."
Both defendant's phones were seized, with messages on Thompson's phone suggesting they went with the purpose of supplying the drug.
Ngoo had more than £700 in cash on him, while Thompson had more than £900.
Ngoo, a former Southend United youth, played for Liverpool's under-18 and under-21 sides before spells with Hearts and Kilmarnock in Scotland, Yeovil Town, Walsall, Bromley and Oldham Athletic.
