I think working for Alonso would be more of a draw than Gerrard.

To be honest, Gone off Gerrard as he's tarnishing his reputation with his links with the criminal underworld. Imagine him getting the job at Liverpool and then bringing the club into repute with links to his dodgy friends.
The media will have a field day, they probably have some stuff on him but keeping it for a rainy day to use when he ever gets a big job elsewhere.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I've never understood the clamour for Gerrard or Lijnders to get the Liverpool manager's job post-Klopp.
A lot of it was just sentimentality and arrogance, in my opinion. As long as Gerrard wasn't utterly disastrous, and we kept winning with Lijnders as assistant, either one could come in, and continue Klopp's work. It reeks of arrogance and complacency on our part as fans, the same that in my view, has infected the club in terms of transfer decisions, and player attitude. With our form this season, Gerrard's work at Villa, and Lijnders book and role at the club debated, at least there's more focus on the personality and vision of who we want after Klopp.

In reality, we all know he'd be as much a part of the problem if he was still here.

I pine for the Mane at his peak, not the Mane of his last 12 months with usOriginally posted by Tribute View Post

Same could be said for Salah, Virgil and several other of our current players though
