I once asked my girlfriend (now wife) whether ducks have two legs or four. I was very hungover at the time and I really couldn't work it out. I thought they might 'have one on each corner'

Biggest brain fart I've had as an adult was forgetting how to spell 'Who'. I couldn't Google it because I just couldn't remember how to spell it and kept thinking it began with an 'H'

I must have some of these. I think I delete the ones I do/say myself for fear self preservation.

                Jesus.

ALS/MND is such a frightening illness. Good luck to him as he comes to terms with it.

Ex-Scotland rugby payer Doddie Weir has it, and been dealing with it for the last 12 months, as has Fernando Ricksen (ex Rangers) and it is frightening to see the deterioration but inspiring to see how they deal with it.

Jesus!!! How long do you think he has?
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

I think it can depend, you go from Stephen Hawking who somehow managed to survive for decades, to Joost van der Westhuizen was was given between 2-5 years and managed to live for 6.

Commonly the latter stages are very scary as the victim starts to lose the ability to swallow and feels like they're choking. Their mind never goes though so they are lucid throughout.

Sarah Ferguson is patron of the MND charity and works pretty tirelessly, at least she used to

The entire MND journey is a downwards trajectory isn't it? Once you get it there is an inevitability to the end point. It gives me the fear just thinking about it.

I feel for anyone who has the illness or has to witness someone they know or love go through it.

I'd be arranging a flight to a country where euthanasia is legal way before I got to a stage where basic functions are breaking down.

It's downright disgusting that Governments don't allow the right to die with dignity.
