I was working in Vancouver at the time and watched the match in a sports bar out of town during an extended lunch break with some Canadian colleagues. Got pissed and went back to the office as everyone else was packing up to go home. Sacked it off, got a taxi into town and found a group of mostly Chinese Liverpool fans and drank whiskey for hours. Picked up a prostitute on the way back to my hotel but lost her before getting there. Rounded off the night with a weed pipe out of the hotel window and was violently sick. Don't think I posted here, and hope I didn't really.

I'm not really sure. I'm sure I agreed for her to come with me. I think I might have gone straight into a lift and left her in the lobby. But anyway, I'm sure it was for the best.

She came back down in extra time asking where the **** I'd got to.

The love in is nice and all. But he went to united.

I don't hate him but he has earned all of those pangs of regret and I don't feel for him one bit.

Caveat, it's a shame his career was effectively ****ed by injury. No one deserves that. What a player he could've been.

I was never that bothered about Owen going to United. His best days were well behind him and why wouldn’t you take the opportunity to play for the best team in the league. Especially given his other options were Everton or Hull.

If he’d had an outright decision between joining Utd or returning to Liverpool, then I could understand the animosity or coldness towards him.

We was watching in the student bar on campus! 3-0 down at half time & my mate was almost in tears fearing Gerrard would leave us! I said we only need a goal to get back into it and 2 quick goals could easily happen! Italian fans were waving their flags and beer flying around lol Went to the bar and got me & my mate 2 double JD Cokes and the rest is history as they say Full Time & after penalties the italians were upset! No flags waving about and it was the british students throwing the beer around now Still remember Cisse celebrating and getting hugs of non Liverpool fans saying congratulations that an english side had won
