It's a ridiculous statement to make. De Bruyne is the best midfielder in the world in my opinion but the facts are that Wijnaldum, Henderson and Fabinho/Milner have in the last few years beat FC Bayern, Barcelona, PSG, Man City etc.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostOk, he doesn’t like the guard of honour thing. Fair enough. But that last sentence was odd. Not really a backhanded complement to KDB, more a slap in the face to the Liverpool midfield. Such a **** thing to say about players that have contributed to a team that’s just won the PL and arguably the best team in the world.
That just would not be possible if they were not excellent players. It is not a coincidence.
Gini in particular has a fair shout to be in a hypothetical world XI imo. Any top club would sign him.
I also don't get all the fuss about this guard of honour. It's a nice touch and well deserved but its just 30 seconds of clapping your opponent.
There's so much bollocks talked in sport with language thrown around that usually refers to war. It's not war, it's a game and even at the professional level that's all it is.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Definitely he was a massive confidence player, and didnt really get the love from any manager. He banged in a few goals in 2005. Just needed to learn to lift his head a bit more.Originally posted by Charly View PostWith a bit of coaching, I thought he could have been a much better player. Had a good finish and could carry the ball well.Modifying post.

Doesn't it just. Players just come and go, yet the fans stay for generations. Time itself is a massive head****. I'm 44, where did the last 25 years go?Originally posted by Buzzo View PostBaros won me about £150 in that Euros where he was top scorer. Will always be a legend for me

Jeez, the last of the 2005 team to hang up their boots.

won me what was an absolute fortune - I had €20 e/w at about 50/1
Myself and my mate went on an absolute bender with that money - had the horrors for weeks afterwards
