Rushie was the very definition of a natural goalscorer, very few his equal in world football and I wouldn’t put anyone above him. Others had more to their game, like Van Basten and the original Ronaldo but put through one-on-one with the keeper Rushie just didn’t miss. In that situation you could put your life savings on him scoring. You couldn’t say that about Torres, Owen, Suarez, even Mo.
