              Just looked up his record, 5 goals in 91 games for them (I assume a significant number were sub appearances but still. He was really highly rated at one point and didn't we get £20m+ for him?

                    That's surely it for him as No 1 (although looking at Lampard and Rooney, who knows)

                    Maybe he will pop up as Klopp's No 2 for Germany when he (eventually) takes that role

                                He was excellent for us last season (or was it the one before) - thought he had the potential to become a top quality player not too far in the future
