I've always had some kind of irrational belief that Houllier was involved in this type of stuff. I just don't believe he could have been so bad in the transfer market for a couple of years.

The Cisse transfer was being investigated at one stage, now we see Diao involved.

The whole bung affair is a farce. Tonights programme will only say what we all know, that bungs are commonplace in the game. Its totally wrong of course & could be reduced massively if the FA had the balls. They haven't of course because if the real levels of corruption was out in the open, the games image would be tarnished. That means less sponsorship, smaller TV deals etc.

When does the FA or Premier League ever really tackle anything. Never. Look at drugs. I bet loads of top players take performance enhancing drugs. They do in nearly every other sport, so why not football. Football is a multi million pound industry & as such will have its share of drug cheats, back handers, illicit tapping up of players, bribing refs, bribing opponents etc etc any other industry. ie it will be everywhere.

I heard Steve Morgan wanted a full investigation in Ged's transfares and the club was not prepared to do it.

Of course he was.

Look at the transfer fees involved with the likes of Cisse, Diouf and Diao in particular. Absolutely scandalous. And still he ****ed off with £10m of the clubs money. Makes me ****ing furious when people get rewarded for abject failure.
