I watched the whole thing and didn't hear anything that would ensure that any of the clubs mentioned would face any sanctions from the FA or cause anybody to resign.

The chavski bit was probably the closest, but even then I doubt that the FA would consider any of this to be evidence. It will all blow over, the agents will go back to making their millions, and any corrupt managers will stick to getting back-handers only from the agents that they have known and trusted for a long time.

Bit of a waste of an hour, tbh.

If GH was taking bungs to sign these players, I for one would like to know about it and have him exposed for it. But it will never happen though.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

disagree, I think a huge can of worms has been opened here. The FA have already been handed all the research the BBC have on this. They have their own major investigation of this which is due in 2 months.

On top of that there is a paralell investigation being run by the EU about standards in football. This is going to be THE story in football for the next few years.

Chelsea will not face any possible points deduction even if Panorama's claims they made an illegal approach for an England youth player are substantiated.

The Blues were given a suspended three-point deduction by the Premier League following the Ashley Cole 'tapping up' case. Chelsea are currently the subject of a joint investigation by the Premier League and Football Association over claims by Leeds of illegal approaches for three academy players last season.

The BBC's Panorama programme has now alleged Chelsea's director of youth football Frank Arnesen offered Middlesbrough's 15-year-old midfielder Nathan Porritt £150,000 over three years to move clubs. However, even if Chelsea are found to have breached any regulations with regard to the academy players the suspended points deduction from the Cole case will not apply.

It is understood one Premier League regulation covers illegal approaches for contracted players, and a separate regulation covers approaches for academy players.

Chelsea would have to be found guilty of another breach of the rule regarding contracted players for the points deduction to come into force.

With regard to the Arnesen allegations, Chelsea told the BBC no industry rules had been breached. It is understood Arnesen was approached by Porritt's agent Peter Harrison rather than Chelsea making the initial inquiry.

The Panorama programme said: "In a meeting with the agent Peter Harrison he [Arnesen] offers a financial inducement to one of the game's brightest prospects, Middlesbrough's England youth star Nathan Porritt.

"At the meeting, also attended by undercover reporter Knut auf dem Berge, Arnesen says he is willing to offer the Teesside club's 15-year-old £150,000 spread over three years to induce him away."

Porritt's agent also offers the player to Liverpool, and a club official talks positively about signing him when he is 17. Liverpool too have told the BBC they have not breached any industry rules.
Thanks for that info Tom, I was about to type all that out myself!

I heard that last night on Radio 5, Chelski can't be docked the three points due to a technicality regarding illegal approaches for contracted players, and the separate regulation covers approaches for academy players.

Good news I think - 3 points is nothing for what they are doing. See that Frank Arnesen didn't take long to get 'into' the job! I think this evidence, along with the Jon Obi Mikel incident and the tapping up of the Leeds kids(reports here are that Chelski actually flew them down to London by private jet to tap them up) mean that they could be facing much more than a mere 3points deduction IF Middlesborough report them.

The problem is that we have to hope 'Boro report them - if enough money greases enough palms they may get away with it, just like the Arnesen deal itself. All this and they will still have the 3 point deduction hanging over them. The FA have to start doing something.

As for Allardyce, I would have said he would have been ok - it's easy for an agent to just imply something - but for his son to get involved...he's ****ed.

I reckon old fathead is gonna get the sack from Bolton over the next few weeks. Gartside is already deflecting attention away from himself by opening some kind of internal inquiry.

Would I have got married during the football season ?
              Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'
