i think you need to sit down and think about what he will do to our club. There's no chance of the stadium being built whatsoever because he doesnt have the money or the backing to do it. People say the stadium will be self funding and that is correct but what about the other £350m that the club currently owe.

who is going to pay that ? Do you think the banks are going to lend him even more money so that the overall debt reaches £600 - £700m ? with increased turnover and gross profit estimates with the new stadium reach £35-40m.

Our interest payments alone will be higher than our projected profit. Its not sustainable in the long term.

You're a sensible guy so surely you can see that he will **** us over and leave us as a shell of the club that we currently know. That's why I'm angry.

I understand why you're angry, and I share that anger. My comments relate only to the idea of boycotting the club. I pay money to all sorts of ****s in the course of everyday life. A boycott isn't oging to be helpful imo. Hicks is a bit ****, and it could put our future at risk. Withholding our support isn't going to mitigate that at all.

If we agree to cancel e-seaons tickets (which are pretty ****e anyway, the only reason I subscribe is to support the club) and not buy this year's new jersey, we will put a big dent in his pocket.

Of course there is a point in doing it, you would actually show you care for the future of the club. With that kind of despondent attitude that will never change anything!

Of course we as fans should not put up with his kind. If it hurts his pockets, he will come around - as stated he is a business man. LFC fans are proberly the most well organized there is, and as such could put an effective protest / boycut in place!!

The problem is that the changing atmosphere because of protests and less money might hurt us in the short term - however it is way f**king better than being the next Leeds or Corinthians for that matter. The later the club Hicks ruin while being in charge to long and filled with false promises.

Nobody ever won anything by just handing themselves over. Not saying it will make a difference, but doing nothing will for certainly change nothing!!

If we dont qualify for the champions league this season - expect no significant transfers in the summer and even some players being sold to make up for the £10-£15m deficit we will experience as revenue loss from being in the UEFA cup.

I think you might be confusing the UEFA cup with the Inter-toto cup, which the later is a qual tournament for the UEFA-cup. I don't have any knowledge of teams having to apply to get in to the UEFA cup and the CL...

Spot on. Some of the drama queens on here really make me laugh when they talk about boycotting "their" club. Business is business and the average football fan is out his depth trying to understand what goes on in the real world regarding financing. No offence to anyone, but stick to what you know.
