And as for whoring ourselves out to DIC with our "come get us" pleas, well, they are an embarrasment in my eyes. DIC will not up their offer because the fans want them. They will offer what they value the club at, possibly taking into account potential value as well.

All the protests are doing is adding an extra distraction to the club, and really i'd like our players to be fully focussed on the coming games, with no added distractions. It's bad enough that the media will ****-stir (Gerrard to leave stories, Rafa on the brink, Torres quit threats etc) without giving them another branch to stoke the fire with.
Who really knows what impact it would have? If we hadnt been so vocal in supporting Rafa then perhaps Klinsmann would be in charge right now.

Its hard to imagine how they could actually be worse! Anyway, given the choice Id take the risk of DIC being better owners than Tom Hicks.

I don't think they are an embarrassment. It just shows how passionate the fans are. You can't fault that. Whether it's done/doing any good remains to be seen.

I don't know about this. I think it would be better to protest against Hicks. West Ham are just a shower of cockney ******s and I don't really see that changing no matter how much we protest.

Protesting is not ideal, but we are not in an ideal situation. The "we don't wash dirty linnen in public" excuse is all well and good, but we have never had any to publicise.

I Know a few Leeds fans who are wishing they had protested over the ludicrous spending by their club. At least they had an excuse though, they were caught up in a dream and did not know of the extent of their troubles.

We do know, so if it blows up in our faces like it did to Corinthians, we can have o excuses if we didn't use our best efforts to get them out of our club.

I've said it before, but I don't mind the lies or the fact we're in debt, it's the fact that another re-financing of the loan with the additional £300m chucked on would cripple the club.

How often do you go to the game?

I go every week (home games) and frankly the ****heads who have taken these protests too far are an ambarrassment pandering to the whims of halfwits like you. Self indulgent (get a ****ing dictionary if you don't know what that means), the point ahs been well made. No need for any more.

I don't go every week. But I'm with the half-wits on this one. The point was made, but why bother protesting and making a point if you're just going to demonstrate once.

I doubt that a continued protest will affect the deal, but I know pretending everythings alright will acheive nothing.

Precisely because it won't affect the deal, but will have an adverse effect on the team.

I totally understand your point of view, but surely after match protests are not affecting them anymore than this continued turmoil in the press?

I don't like the idea of a protest, but depending on how strongly you feel about something, it dictates the action you're willing to take. I think something needs to be done to remind G+H that we want them out.

I'm sure the various groups would listen to any better ideas that could be used to aid their protest, but there are little options available.

I can see both sides of the fence, but as I said, I side with the protesters.

We need to protest. Maybe Hicks thinks he's really popular with the fans and has no idea he's disliked

                                From RAWK

Liverpool chairmen Tom Hicks and George Gillett have been given the ideal opportunity. The opportunity to walk away, to do the right thing. They wanted a profit; they've been offered a profit. They can say Yes for their own benefit and for our benefit.

                                But will they?

Al-Ansari talks about Tom Hicks' valuation of the club being 'in dreamland'; Mr Hicks is further in dreamland if he thinks he will ever be accepted at LFC. He's a rich man, a business man, but surely, being as rich as he is, he wants to be able to enjoy his investments. If he tries to grin and bear it then it emphasises what we already know - he's only in it for one reason: the money and the money alone.

George Gillett's silence speaks volumes. He's no longer interested or charming us. He wants to get out with the maximum possible profit. Well it's time to either get out of hiding or get out of our club, Mr Gillett.

Will they do the right thing, and leave? They aren't wanted, they surely know that. To stay - and turn down an offer for the club that can hopefully take us out of this sorry mess we find ourselves in - is what we all want. Cash is what they want and they have been offered millions for wasting a year of our time.

If they say No it goes against the wishes of virtually every supporter. So they wouldn't be listening to fans. This would be their clearest indication that they don't care about the fans. They want to cash in on us, they want to sell the "Kop" brand but when it comes right down to it, the much acclaimed 12th Man has his opinions tossed aside so they can greedily wring every last penny out of the club.

Regardless you've been, we've all been, given an opportunity - if they reject the offer, take the opportunity at the West Ham game to make it known we will not take this lying down.

If they say nothing take the opportunity to hammer home your wishes as Liverpool supporters. They've given us the chance to make our point, DIC have given them the chance to leave with a modicum of grace and a hefty profit.

Take the chance - let the world know what you want.

                                Spirit Of Shankly.
