Was working sodidn't see the game.

    How was Alonso?

As mentioned earlier in the thread, the guy on 606 raving about Torres was classical. Better than Rush? Nowhere near yet, it's got to be done season after season.

He also said that he thinks Liverpool will go to the Emirates and Old Trafford and win, so I'm sure we had a good game. But going on that comment, we are 12 behind Arsenal and 11 behind Man Utd now. Win at those places and I bet some Journos will slowly be speaking of a late title surge.

Highly unlikely. Yes. Impossible? No. Personally I'd be happy with 4th, after all about one month ago we were 20 points behind Arsenal. But we are getting closer.

If only it was one team 10 points or more in front, then maybe I could see it, but with two teams, and not forgetting Chelsea, it seems impossible.

A good finish would help with confidence in the champions league though and help with confidence for next season.

At last football wise the future looks bright.
    Forwards.......

My take Rush with Dalglish was better than Torres. Rush w/o Dalglish and Nando is better.

Rush was never as good without the king.

So, Torres...18 league goals in 23 starts, and 24 goals so far in all comps.

Is it 13 in his last 11 league games?

              He is my hero.

                So impressed with Skrtel.

I know it's only two games but Xabi looks as though he is BACK!

Excellent performance from Arbeloa. We miss him when he's out.

That's basically all i could say in the pub after his 3rd goal.

"When's Agger due back, any ideas Sid?"

                  (doe eyed) "I love Torres"

                  "Another drink Sid?"

                  "Torres. I love Torres"

the formation at the moment is the best thing about us, xabi and mascher give everyone else so much comfort in getting forward

very difficult to break down and very fluid going forward, i likes it

                    and torres is dreamy

I love Torres more and more every game, what a player, every game he just gets better and better, can you imagine what he's going to be like when he is in his prime!!!

                        I agree

And strangely enough I have not seen anyone complaining about negative tactics...I mean one man up front against West Ham...yes West Ham good god Rafa is so negative (only 90 goals this season btw)

We've also scored the joint most home goals in the league (tied with Spurs, though they've conceded twice the amount we have) and more than Chelsea, United and Arsenal.

I was going to mention that too. I actually feel we could go to the teams above us and give them a proper match. My feeling is that it stems from the back and the confidence that Skrtl has given the team in the absence of Agger.

A mention must go out to Hyypia for putting in a stellar shift too.

I know we will face tougher opposition that West Ham but it's looking ominous for Newcastle and Inter I tell ya!

You can still get 3/1 on torres for top PL goalscorer. He's only 3 behind the pansy.

I can't remember who said it, but he never scores the same goal twice. Thats the mark of a champion.
