I know every team can say about games they should've won, but we're talking about some seriously fecking fine margins...
What about City, we Dominated, chance after chance....If Only.

The formation that me and tomasjj have moaned about the whole season.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        I totally agree with Syd.

Four games at home should have been home bankers. We failed and hopefully we can learn from that this season and makes something out of nothing.

Yeah i know mate, but if someone said "beat Brum, Spurs, Villa and Wigan at home - and you're 4 points off the top with 10 games to play" i'd have probably bitten their hand off 2 seconds after shooting my load.

It's just fecked up that 4 games which we'd usually dispatch so comfortably have gone against us.

Do you still want rid of Rafa?

He has built a strong squad of players and with the addition of one or two top class players in the Torres/Masher bracket and we will have one very strong, young team that can only get better over the next few years. Thats why I can't see why people want Rafa replaced, he's nearly there and any change would disrupt things so much it would set us back at least a couple more years. We haven't lost too many games this season (the ones we have we shouldn't have really, we should have at least got a draws) and if we can turn those draws to wins then I see us really challenging in the next few years on all front. I'm liking the settled core of the team at the moment with the odd player rested or replaced when someone gets back from injury.

Yeah but City was away, at a decent side - that's easier to take.

                Those four home games though....grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

90% of the time, we'd probably win all 4 of those games at home. Inexplicably, we've failed to win all four this season and it's potentially the difference between 4th place and a serious title challenge. Just fecking hard to take, that it's four home games against THOSE teams, who we'd expect to beat easily.

I mean Chelsea at home, unlucky not to win, but you can take a draw. Arsenal at home, 10 mins from winning, but probably didnt deserve to win. Mancs at home, rubbish game, neither side deserves to win.

Against them top 3 you can maybe say ok, it's hard to beat them. But even without beating them, a proper challenge could've happened if we'd just done what we expect to do easily.

                  Grrrrrrr

                  Thanks.

Seriously. Coming from you, that makes me feel good. Sort of.

                  That's the one...

It's not even that. I'm not so much happy as 'grrrrr-ing' my arse off at what could've been if we'd just done what we'd expect to do with our eyes closed.

I mean...Brum and fecking Wigan FFS!!!

I want to rip someone's eyes out. And it's not Rafa.

increadible? That's quite debatable. Anyhow every year every team can see if we drew x games that we lost or won them instead of drew etc it could contribute you could have this kind of talk. Not really my thing

We'd win all four of those games without much fuss 90% of the time at home.

Perhaps you're missing my point here.

what it does prove is that we are not a million miles away as some would have you believe. We are only a couple of high quality players and turn those drawers into wins and wahey bingo the number 19 bus is coming

Yeah but in the season we win those games, the away record will probably let us down

There's a huge psychological barrier to overcome. All these years of failure have programmed 'we cant' into the players' minds. That's a major obstacle to deal with.
