We will be significantly richer than previously, even with DIC only at 49% ownership. Purely financially Gillette was massively holding us back.

Should DIC gain total control you can bet the Chavs and tha Mancs will be running scared of the Mighty Reds once again!

The key thing is we won't be paupers anymore, and if the loans do **** up we have the security of DIC - that's surely a good thing. We can then concentrate on the football and let DIC deal with Hicks in the long term. This situation is better than 6 months ago when we had these two cunts and there was no sign of DIC.

I just reminded people what was out there. Without DIC I think we'd be in a world of trouble, that doesn't mean forgive, forget and move on though for that ****. Mediocrity is ok for this arsehole and we need to up the pressure on this idiot, not back down.

Read my post again.I asked the question if the inevitable partnership was totally disastrous.

I was trying to think of any positive outcomes to this whole mess.

Close your eyes and keep blaming if you so choose, but in reality,a partnership of DIC/Hicks is what will happen by the looks of things.

We have to move forward with it.

DIC are not going to be pumping in wads of cash when they are minority partners, it would just be making that cunts life easier. He's free to take gambles knowing that DIC would buy his half if he get's into trouble.

The only thing I hope is that it really is to do with the floatation of his sportsgroup fire sale, or whatever it is he's doing, and once he's raised some benjamins, he'll take the money from DIC and **** off.

Not what I was hoping for but I back the fact tht DIC will get control at some point, but how long that will take is anyone's guess
          Gillett and Hicks are cunts

DIC taking full control will is what i want. They make all of there assets truly world class and don't cut any corners.Just look at there porfolio.

And i think Hicks knows this, thats why he wants a part of it.

I think people are getting too hung up on the 49% thing. The key thing is Stavey's quote where she said they will be buying 100% eventually (it's in the Independent). Add that to the fact of rumours doing the rounds that Hicks needs to be a majority holder in Liverpool to float his franchises in America then this just seems like an agreement to placate Hicks and sweeten him up for the future.

DIC have never struck me as stupid. If they're paying off the loans and promising funds for the new Stadium, they know that they are more than 49% shareholders. It's obvious. They would never get into an arrangement in which they'd be obvious losers. I think in their agreements there will be stipulations and conditions where they get an equal say in the running of the club...or else they'd never agree to dishing out that much to Gillett and taking a back seat.

I'll be over the moon if DIC seal the deal for 49% because I believe they'll be equal in the partnership with Hicks even though the 49% says they aren't

DIC are extremely successful. On the outside it seems they're losing out...but I think there are details within the deal that none of us are aware

              Anyone agree?

You now own 49% of the best club on the planet.

Makes perfect sense, they must know what they're doing.

has this actually officially gone through then??
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

anyone know when the carlsberg deal is up?? because that'll be first to go. probably get emirates on the top and the stadium i'd imagine seeing as money is little object despite DIC perhaps wanting the club to make money

i'd fully expect to see Carlsberg removed sooner rather than later though with any new arabic ownership

The deal with Carlsberg runs out after next season but as you say, DIC will probably buy out the last year.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Not Officially announced is it, although Amanda's Quotes if true suggest it's atleast agreed. Unless we Again hear from Fatso with a statement to dispute it, Looking at the above letter i doubt we will.

The Telegraph should thank Moores or Parry for that letter. No one else would be able or willing to leak it.

Perhaps it was Redlady who leaked it, or Amanda Stavely as she is also known
