I have never met him so I choose not to judge him as a person. As a captain he is getting better and better IMO. As a footballer he is just good, really ****ing good.

What i expect from a player of his quality and stature is not to be bullied by some 20 year old portugese on his own turf. More importantly i'd liked to have seen him lead his players, encourage them and not to sulk when things don't go his way as he's done many a time this season.

Hopefully he'll learn from his mistake and realise he wasn't really playing a captain's roll when times got tough.

I expect to see a more consistent, focused and team orientated Steven Gerrard from now until the end of the season.
