I think we should be counter attacking. They will be very mindful of the away goal and that will make them nervy going forward. Especially with Mascher snapping, Gerrard dictating and Torres foraging. Anything can happen in our favour!
As long as we pass and don't let them slow the game down we will be fine.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Riise on the left and Kuyt on the right to keep things quiet on the wings.

A 3-5-2 formation or 4-5-1 with the two wide positions taken by saw Pennant and Kewell would IMO look like we settled for a 0-0 which is exactly what Inter will want to see.Originally posted by DJS View PostI dont think we'll try to force anything, personally. It's not in Rafa's mindset to do that and risk the pressure of conceding early. He's not that daft.
the 2 deep lying midfielders allow us just as much defensive security (or should do) as any other formation any way."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Big game tonight for Lucas by the looks of things. Im confident he will do well if he starts.
Babel and Torres also need to be on top form on the counter attack. If we can scare them enough then they will be afraid to hold a high line in defence in the fear that Babel and Torres will rip them to pieces on the counter attack.

TBH If think the slower euro games suit him best at the moment. Maybe he can be more box-box like he was with Gremio.Originally posted by pablo1981 View PostBig game tonight for Lucas by the looks of things. Im confident he will do well if he starts.
