So what did he actually do in the game? ****e may be too strong a word but he was way below average. I can count with one hand the number of tackles he made. If you notice, he was out of position a number of times that allow Inter players to sneak in. Too slow to keep pace with them as well.

As mentioned in my earlier post, it might be down to his nervousness. Let's see if he performs better next season but my hopes are not high.

Babel needs to be more consistent. He has shown flashes of what he is capable of but too inconsistent. 2 moments in last night game came to mind. The 1st when he was through but couldn't trap the ball. The 2nd was a cross field pass to Kuyt that miss him completely and went out.


We may or may not have seen the best of Lucas but one thing is for sure, he is too slow. Needs to improve on his positioning and strength.

I'm always one to give a trier a chance, but i can't disagree with your opinion on Kuyt last night, but we got the right result, & in some style too. Two clean sheets against the Italian league leaders & scoring in both legs.

Dirk had a mare and it demonstrated how much a few people have been getting wildly carried away with his mini-revival. He can do a job in that position against Premiership dross but at the highest level he falls well short.

Babel was indeed even worse on the night than Dirk but Babel is young, raw and improving and those sort of performances don’t concern me at this stage.

It's not bull****. Babel was crap and whatsmore he can be a right lazy get! I'm not defending Kuyt's game cos he was ****e too. Either one of them could have gone off for Benny. It made no odds. Oh and I don't really want to slag any of our players off but don't start the Kuyt bashing threads again it's just ****ing tedious beyond belief.
