I am not going to argue with you on this DJ, cos I have thought about this a lot also. However when teams are losing their stamina I truly believe the home support helps, so in extra time that would hopefully give them the advantage.Originally posted by DJS View PostRiiiight...course it does...
TBH though if they said E/T away goals did not count as "away goals" (eg double) I would agree wholeheartedly.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I wasnt taking it from the away goals rule being abolished. If it was abolished, then yeah, but it isnt abolished is it?Originally posted by Nic83 View PostSo you don't think if a tie finishes level, that the home team would have the advantage in extra time if the away goals rule was abolished?

If they said away goals dont count after ET, then yes, the home side naturally has the advantage. But they do count, dont they? I'm after clarification on this.

You said:implying that the away team have an advantage if the tie goes to extra time because an away goal counts doubleOriginally posted by DJS View PostExcept if the tie goes into extra time, and they then have an extra 30 mins to score an away goal..."
I said:
implying that home advantage snuffs out the away goal advantageOriginally posted by Nic83 View PostWell I dunno, you could argue that the home team then have a big advantage if the away goal rule doesn't count in extra time...
and then you for some reason said:
