Good news. HUGE NEWS. Lets hope it's clean money unlike those bent ****ers at the bridge. Thank god we didn't go with the thai money, we'd be screwed by now.
I have a feeling that something will definitely come of this.
The club is seeing other clubs being taken over and funds and investment being pumped in, and if Mr Moores etc cannot take the club to the next level financially I believe that they will be more open than ever before to new investors.
The stadium grant, the Chavski, Scum, and Villa take overs, and the possible investments in West Ham and Arsenal is probably making the Board act a little quicker and take any approaches alot more seriously.
Will be very interesting to see what transpires.
I think we are all relieved that the club never accepted either Sinawatra or the Thai music guy's cash!
Just one question.
If LFC only has until the weekend at the latest to prove they can get the funding. Im assuming that the new owners will be given another extension beyond this weekend?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I suppose the club only has to prove it can finance the £180m or whatever the true figure is. Therefore I'd imagine the club has already a size-able percentage of this figure available to it. This minor or major shareholder would then prove it has the rest of the money available.
I'm more worried by those ******s at the NWDA, they are *still* rumbling on regarding sharing with Neverton.

Depends if anything has happened behind the scenes.
Each prospective investor may have been informed of exactly what needs to happen and may have the required provisions in place?
It seems that recent takeovers have happened within 24 hours....Roman and Randy Lerner acquired their clubs in an instant!
The amount of times something has been on the verge of happening and then hasn't, I will wait until everything is 100% confirmed before getting excited.
Doesn't anyone think that we're leaving things a bit late with the stadium deadline upon us?!
It is good news if true that there are three proposals to be considered by the board, and hopefully something will finally happen with this most annoying of sagas which has gone on for far too long now without any positive news, as of yet!
My worry is that the club have left it too late to get this grant in place, but as there's still time (just about) I'm hopeful that the board finally make the decision that's been needed for the past few years.

Liverpool never do anything in the public spotlight, transfers, sponsorship deals, stadium plans etc - are all well thought out in advance and with a fair amount of planning. People tend to get jumpy when there's no news and then breathe a sigh of relief when things get sorted.
Think of all the threads/posts over the last 12 months or so discussing the failings of the board etc. Then, in one fell swoop, when the stadium was cleared recently (i.e. lease etc), everyone was saying job well done. There was a good thread a week or so ago (think Rushscored4 contributed to it) which basically crystallised all the real info and how the clubs approach may have been cautious, but ultimately for the long term future.
I am not surprised by this 'late' interest, because I doubt it is a last minute thing or a knee jerk reaction by the club. I'm sure it will be another well-planned step in the right direction.
As far as the stadium is concerned, I'm confident, as far as investment goes, I'm also confident. The board get slated for being indecisive and not capitalising on recent success etc. However, my view would be that we are actually fairly well run and the stability of the club in the long term, is far more important than rash decisions made in response to other clubs selling out.
