It is not mentioned that any order has been applied to the fixtures.
As I read it it's just a team list being issued - NOT an exact home / away fixture list.

The draw was, and is always fixed!
As is the FA / Carling / Everest / Wheatseaf Pub Challenge!

Why else do you think the CL was established?

Who cares i am happy with the draw and i think we will get through with no problem. Get a 1-1 at their place and beat them 2-0 at ours. I really think Chelsea will fall in Turkey for some reason we will meet Barca in the final and win 2-1. WE ARE THE KINGS OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL

Sorry to reignite this one, but I was speaking to one of my colleague's about this today, whose brother is a journo at one of the broadhseets. He reported the "fix" story on Saturday (so you can probably figure out who the journo is) and he has researched the incident since. He says there was a two-fold UEFA agenda underpinning the CL draw:-

1. Abramovich and Chelsea, with their Russian ties, make the final in Moscow
2. a Liverpool - Man Utd final is avoided at all costs

He told me more stuff about the logic behind the Arse-Liverpool draw but I dont really remember.

Hmmm, putting chelsea in the same side of the draw with us doesn not help chelsea.

Also If they really wanted to avoid a manure Liverpool game surely they would have been drawn together at this stage.

Well then UEFA messed it up just about as bad as they could, if this was a fix... Could go down as the worst match fixing in history!!

If that was their agenda then surely the following draw would have suited better:

Chelsea or Fenerbache v Roma or Schalke

Liverpool or Man Utd v Arsenal or Barcelona

That would have 1) made it very like that Chelsea make the final, and 2) ensured that a Man Utd v Liverpool final did not happen.

Just under 1% chance of getting the draw right by guessing. OK, so the hundreds of sporting draws going on all the time and the hundreds of people guessing, some of them are bound to get it right. Big deal. I'm not naive about the possibility of a fixed draw but this guy's post alone is not really evidence of anything.

Its not just a random guy on a thread saying "I think the draw will be this..." though. The thread was titled "Leaked Draw", and then he named it exactly right.

You show me a hundred threads indicating a leaked draw and then the person getting it wrong, then i'll consider your point...
